I too experienced the same thing in that same spot, but in 2007. That show at the Forum was the first return for the band since the Roskilde tragedy. The band had invited the families of the victims out as their guests for the show. There were only maybe 6-7 of us out getting to chat him and Mike down. He was super drained and spoke of the emotional night that it was, and how deep it was to hang out with the families backstage after the show. He was all hugs then too, and it was super cool. No plectrum giving then, but I did find one of his on the pavement about an hour earlier as the crew was packing up.

    What's a plectrum? (a pic....ahhh, I see.)

And just in jest, the 1:17 mark here:

It was great talking to him for a few minutes. Did he just jump into the van after finishing the line? I just had to leave, didn´t look back, couldn´t believe what had just happened....stunned

I actually consider making a necklace of it, I would then always carry Eddies love with me. But can a 39 year old male have a EV pick necklace?

Hey, it's your pick and your memories, do what you want with it- if it's a necklace, so be it! :) Did you buy a poster at the Copenhagen show? If so, maybe put that in the frame with the poster if you plan on framing it? That could be another option!
Last year after I got a pick from Mike at the Tres Mts. show I attended, I was thinking the same thing as you, making the pick a necklace, but then decided against it cuz that would involve poking some sort of hole in it...personally didn't want to do that, but that's just my opinion!

I do have the poster and it's going to be framed, I also meet Mike in Stockholm and he signed my Backspacer Cd cover, thinking of frame those together.

You had the same issue as I have now, do I really want to make a hole in the pick.....but it would be a great necklace.

That's neat! Don't think I would spend 40 bucks on that, but did find a similar, cheaper option. http://www.amazon.com/Pickbandz-Necklace-Silicone-Holder-Black/dp/B005IHD95I/ref=sr_1_2?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1342485443&sr=1-2&keywords=guitar+pick+necklace Hell, for 9 bucks I may buy it and see how it works out!

there are a couple of huge pearl jam fans on Etsy.com that make PJ related jewelry and do custom orders too. I've gotten some really nice silver pearl jam bracelets from one of our PJ friends on there. You could ask her to make you something to hold the pick so that you would not have to poke any holes in it. She'd probably jump at the opportunity....as she loves PJ as much as we do. Here's her site...you probably know who she is (Nicci) http://www.etsy.com/shop/ChunkyPunkyandDinky I'd go to her when it comes to PJ hand crafting. :)

and then there's this...the cheapest way i've seen to wear a pick http://www.etsy.com/listing/92884377/guitar-pick-wristband-by-pickbandz-pick?ref=sr_gallery_6&ga_search_query=pick+holder&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=ZZ&ga_min=0&ga_max=0&ga_search_type=all

    or this: http://www.amazon.com/Pickbandz-Necklace-Silicone-Holder-Black/dp/B005IHD95I/ref=sr_1_2?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1342485443&sr=1-2&keywords=guitar+pick+necklace

can you tell i've been on the same search before?
    peace,
