The self styled ten club police that organise the writing of numbers on hands --- just fuck off you are not official and this practice was stamped out in Europe a while back if you know what I mean.
.
Epic show and great way for me personally to finish my stint on this tour. Didnt have great seats but for me levels really went up after Corduroy, even the bit during DTE when Ed didnt know which bit to come back in on after getting the crowd involved, well funny.
Finally got Long Rd, Leash and great version of Jeremy .
3rd and last show and considering I'd only seen them 3 times before prior to this tour thats 29 songs I hadnt heard previously, fuckin NUTS  .
Hope everyone has a great time on the final stretch

Hi!
I was in Berlin I and II, really appreciate both shows! Especially the first one with a lot of my favorite songs. :!: :!:
I have just a personnal request!!!! There, I "met" somebody, a guy from AUSTRIA, first I understood Australia because of my bad english!!!! We dance and shout together, in this fantastic crowd, and he friendly proposed me to take me on his shoulders.. and next time I'll accept!!
I just wanna know your name if you maybe one day read my message and remember this moment! We met again the second night in the front.
I just wanna scream : "hellooooooo"

i think I prefer Wuhlheide because of the beautiful scenery, but I must admit it was nice this time to just walk out into the city after the show.
the sound was a little poor where we were sitting. The bass and drum mix was quite blurry. However the crowd was the loudest I have seen this tour.
great show!

I also love Wuhlheide, I think there´s always a special athmosphere. But what I didn´t like last time when PJ stayed there, was the early time, the band had to start. It really was to bright at the beginning of the concert.
So next time, back again to Wuhlheide or Waldbühne, but beginning not before 9 pm.

It was a great night in berlin, great setlist, great performance and great people. All over the world people come to berlin. Seems to me that more than in other cities fans from all over the world visit the show in berlin. Also the last 3 shows in wuhlheide a lot of people from abroad came to see it. In all the other countries i visited shows there were never so much different nationalities than in berlin.
This year we met some peolple from peru ( he got a tambourine from eddy) and some girls from US, close to new york. We visited only 1 show in berlin, but after seeing the setlist of the second, till now i regret every day that i did not stay. But thats life!!!
U R the key it would be nice to hear how was the second night.
I was quite a bit back on Stone's side and crowd was quiet - people stood around with hands in pockets. I was thinking 'is this a Berlin crowd?' I could see the front was manic but I wasn't that far back and seemed really flat. I typically like to get a spot and stick to it and don't like to be one of those pushing forward but where I was stood ended up been one of those sections where people were spotting gaps and plowing through. I was enjoying 'In My Tree' when some knucklehead barged right through me (still so great to hear this song) In the end I could take no more and after what seemd like the twentieth person barged past me I followed them and went further forward. As I have done this I have stood on a small lady's foot and got a big shove in the back for my trouble. The problem with having big feet is you inevitably end up standing on others feet in big crowds but you also have more target area for others to land on (Manchester 2 - ouch!)
Anyway to more postive thoughts and after I got forward the show was even better. RVM was awesome again. I remember Ed been concerned about the crowd. I then just stood and watched the first encore unfold 'The End' and 'Just Breathe' were just mesmerising. 'Hard To Imagine' was well you know...
I can take or leave 'Once' never really does it for me live. The second encore was immense. I thought we were done after 'Rockin' but it just kept going. It seemd a long show and I can't wait to re-visit the boot.

The 2nd night was a blast...what else can you expect from Pearl Jam?!?
Ron, you should follow your heart and not your friends ---- stay for night 2!
Anyway I know you will have another chance the next time PJ play Europe and I will make sure to c u there. Plus soon will be the EV shows so u don't really have such a long wait.
I would post the picture of us outside the venue except I look way too intoxicated, they should rename the city BEERLIN.
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
I guess I'm the only one who thought it was cool that they would NOT play Wuhlheide for a change (before the concert) and then being immensly disapointed with the o2 World! I have never been in such a cold, flat, boring, unatmospheric building before. To be honest, it took quite a bit away from the concert experience...I mean, the crowd was awesome, lots of people from different countries. There was obviously some action in the first few rows but that's just what you get with German crowds - I grew up with it and I love it and I think quite some of few who flew in for the shows wanted to get to know that spirit. But...I mean...well let's put it that way: in my hometown Dresden we have a concert venue that is basically an old slaughterhouse (anybody knows Slaughterhouse 5 from Kurt Vonnegut?! It's that building!) complete with those little tiles that these buildings usually have...even this venue is more atmospheric than the o2!
So concerning the gig...did anyone else thought that Ed looked extremely tired that first night and like new born the second?! Anyway, the band had some nice surprises in store for us - obviously In My Tree, Faithfull, Hard To Imagine and Leash were the rare ones - but I have to say that I especially enjoyed my first RVM (after 5 shows!!!) - what an awesome version! I'm not a fan of the It's OK tag but it was a nice surprise anyway, especially after the chanting crowd seemed to force them doing a Blitzkrieg Bop tag Also Indifference at the end of the night...really really cool!
There were however quite a lot of repeats from the two Berlin concerts in 2009 and 2010 though. 19 of the 28 were played in either one of these concerts (Night 2 had only 11 out of 30), even some of the rarer ones like Faithfull, Long Road, The End and HTI. The second night was a bit more diverse and had more memorable moments (imo!).
Idid anyone else thought that Ed looked extremely tired that first night and like new born the second?!).
this happened to every second show.

If I remember right we all chanted It's OK when he fucked up the song or his voice broke or something. It was so awesome being in the pit, feeling the energy from everyone around us and just getting sucked into it. It was clearly different than the US and Canada shows I've been to, and I enjoyed it a lot. The second night was the first show of a friend of mine, and later on he went farther back saying he wanted to hear the sound of the band - the audience was singing too loud for him in the front
Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue!

Wasn't sure where to post this or how to contact the fan club directly in an appropriate forum but would like to thank Kerry (?) from the fan club for arranging to swap my tickets for the Berlin 4th July gig on the night of the gig. Like an idiot I was convinced I had tickets for the 4th July in Berlin and didn't have any reason to check because that's what I thought I had bought. When I arrived at the fan club pick up point to pick up my tickets and was told I wasn't on the list I could'nt understand why it was only when I got back all the way back to the hotel and read the e-mail that the penny dropped  So to cut a long story short Kerry came to my rescue and managed to swap with someone who couldn't make it, thanks Kerry I owe you one.

As finally, I got my account running, I can put my bit to the puzzle, too:
First, this goes out to Christie, Dean (Seattle), Ted & Kelly (?) from Canada, Thorsten and the rest of that bunch from the States and Canada (sorry for being a mess with names, hope you can figure out whos ment!). I met You on tuesdays Yaam-pre-party and then again some of You on the first and second evening at the o2. Missed You at the Honoululu later on thursday due to some smoke-one-more-talk-along-then-stumble-into-meeting-eddie-behave-like-an-idiot-with-speaking-disorder-and-be-completely-paralyzed-action... sorry but also: YESSSS ! How quickly I can be turned back into some 16-year old wannabe-groupie? Oh, well, now I know (it´s about 3msecs).
Also, Thank You Dimitris for the button and the first-concert-hug!!
It took me so many years to finally get to see the boys live (BTW: thanks again to Mr. Crowe for getting me back on the PJ-train) and I couldn´t be happier about what I´ve experienced. Not only those two shows, that were a complete blast of intensity and joy (and sweat). Bit to much of intensity for my gear, in fact: Lucky me, I kept all my fingers when my lighter exploded halfways through "Come back" on day two...(Was I really the only oldfashioned person who used one? Come on, smartphone-displays suck on moments like these!)
But thats not all of it: I also met some of the nicest persons there (as above) from like all around the world. Hope we´ll meet again soon!! Oh, and You were right, kelly: I definetely AM hooked now! Seeing everyone setting off to Stockholm on friday while having to stay at home left me in an almost cobainesc-mood of depression...I found out that there was only one prescription for me, and that was (no, not more cowbell;-)) getting me some last-minute-eddie-ticket for London - Now, I am officially broke, but happy again! Hope to meet a lot of you Jammers over there!
And then after that, back to everyday-business for the rest of the year? Might get a problem with that....
Rock on!
Nadine
edit: Anyone an idea on how I can manage to put my profile-picture in here? Looks boring without...

I'm not a fan of the It's OK tag but it was a nice surprise anyway, especially after the chanting crowd seemed to force them doing a Blitzkrieg Bop tag

If you not dare to put the picture here, you can send in a pm to me. Really like to see it!!!
If I remember right we all chanted It's OK when he fucked up the song or his voice broke or something. It was so awesome being in the pit, feeling the energy from everyone around us and just getting sucked into it. It was clearly different than the US and Canada shows I've been to, and I enjoyed it a lot. The second night was the first show of a friend of mine, and later on he went farther back saying he wanted to hear the sound of the band - the audience was singing too loud for him in the front

this is great!
well, its what this community is all about, really!
Missed You at the Honoululu later on thursday due to some smoke-one-more-talk-along-then-stumble-into-meeting-eddie-behave-like-an-idiot-with-speaking-disorder-and-be-completely-paralyzed-action... sorry but also: YESSSS
