So this is it folks, last night in Denmark tonight, the good vibes will continue on for the Eddie solo shows/Soundgarden shows but as far as PJ goes this is it, maybe for another couple of years as well
Tell me your highs/lows from the tour, best song, best people you met, favourite setlist, favourite poster, favourite show etc etc.
Release as Tour opener in Manchester was incredible as was the entire set from manchester 2. As an opener Go into animal into hail hail into I am Mine was the best 1,2,3,4 punch I ever heard. Just perfect!First time for me not hearing a slow song to start as well.
I was slightly disappointed that the rumours of Chris Cornell at Manc2 didn't come to fruition as I was dying with jealousy watching the Alpine sets unfold last year but ce la vie. The irish couple who me and my mum met and who got engaged after Just Breathe at Manc 2 made it into a perfect night!
Hard to Imagine and Leash at Berlin 1 were also incredible.
Setlistwise (not including Denmark yet), but Amsterdam 2 and Oslo last night were untouchable. Shame I missed those but at least a ton of people from here witnessed it and I can live vicariously through that.
Roll on EUROTOUR 2014

HIGHS: The 4 shows I went to...
 LOWS: The 9 shows I missed... 'It's a sad and beautiful world' - Mark Linkous0 'It's a sad and beautiful world' - Mark Linkous0
-
Highs: All the rare songs that I heard (like Leash or Present Tense) all the rocking out and seeing the band again in great shape and having fun on the stage. Seeing Berlin and meeting other Pearl Jam fans.
Lows: Some of the people in the crowd during Berlin 1 and those weird numbers on the hands.
All in all I was/am really happy with the gigs and when I see the other setlists I am sad that that I could only go an see two shows. Next time I'm definetly going to more! Hope meeting more of you people too! Music is what feelings sound like.0 Hope meeting more of you people too! Music is what feelings sound like.0

2013 will no doubt be USA potentially OZ/NZ and anywhere else they fancy.
We might get lucky and get another few shows for the new album but but realistically 2014 will be the next full Euro tour like this year

Great user name btw. Rock for light is one of my favourite records ever!
It wasn't super expensive really and I did 4 shows. Tickets were £200 (approx £50 each for each one. Booked well in advance for Manchester so the train was £20 return to London and hotel was £20 for 2 nights.
Flights to berlin were about £100 return and the hotel was about £125 for 4 nights.
Not a ridiculous amount of money really!

            Hi all,
unfortunately I was only able to see the two Amsterdam shows but fortunately I would say these were the best
I mean... look at the setlists, Amsterdam II was already epic while happening and is definitively at least one of the best 10 shows ever maybe even Top 5
In combination of both shows highlights for me were all songs I've not heard live before like Better things, Smile, Indifference, Wash, Glorified G, Deep, Bugs, Alone, Footsteps, Crown of thorns, Sonic reducer.
I'm not sure if we will see PJ back in Europe even in 2014 because at the end of Amsti II Ed said that it might take a bit longer this time 'til they'll return. Hopefully he just meant Holland and they make a full german tour instead

Shit, I should've "pay to cum" then!!! Hahaha
It would've cost a lot for me, fly out from east coast, hotel, tix, train tix, food, merchandise, etc...I keep telling myself someday I'm gonna win the lottery and move to Barcelona to watch the greatest football team in the world and travel EVERYWHERE PJ tour!!! Still waiting on the winning ticket!0

I was at AMS 1&2 and, only because the fates allowed, at Stockholm.
Highs: Queuing all day for AMS1 and hanging with the Italians and my new Belgian friend who came all the way from Australia to tour with the guys. Hanging with Amir around Amsterdam, meeting the Americans before AMS2 - everyone was super cool and friendly and it is so nice to be around people who share the same love for the band. Being 2nd row on the floor for the first and probably only time ever was just amazing and a surreal experience. During both shows, I had "i got shit" and "crown of thorns" written on a tiny piece of paper in my back pocket. No one (including me) thought I had a chance. Sure enough, AMS2 happened and I pretty much melted into the floor. That show was just over the top and the emotional experience was heavier and brighter than I have words for. Then, just when I thought my chance to see PJ was over, I somehow found myself 10th row Stone side in the first section by the stage in Stockholm. It was a very solid show, Eddie was drunk and having fun. The set list (for me) wasn't the best, but I got Garden, Off he goes, All those yesterdays, and Crazy Mary so I am definitely not complaining. And they played for almost 3 hours.
Other highs: meeting Dimi and Rob for the first time, getting to see Stockholm unexpectedly, checking out of reality for a while to enjoy some damn good music. Also, for the first time I followed the threads here for the set-lists in real time, and that proved to be really fun. Apparently if you can't be at the show, the next best place to be is here talking about it :-)
Lows: Pretty much ready to pass out by the time they played RITFW for AMS1 having not had any water or food in a very very very long time. Ugly posters at AMS1&2 and then, because of ryanair, couldn't buy a poster at Stockholm unless I wanted to pay to check a bag.
I think that about wraps it up! I am so lucky!!My whole life... like a picture on a sunny day...

I have attended Berlin1 and Stockholm, both were great shows (they always are ). ).
My high was definitely "In my tree" at Berlin1 as I love that song and had never heard it before in a live version - great stuff! . .
Low was definitely the Stockholm crowd, never seen a more unresponsive audience; although the guys on stage looked in great form, only the first 10 (max 15) rows on the floor were actively participating while the great majority of the people in the stands sat still for the whole concert, best they could do was clapping when their excitement level was at the top. There were even people wearing earplugs, never seen anything like that!!!
 Keep on rockin'...0

I got to see PJ for the first time, attended Amsterdam 1 and Berlin both shows, had the time of my life hearing, seeing the greatness that is PJ live. Words can't really express how great it all was and how happy I am. I travelled from very far and spent a fortune but even if I starve for the rest of the summer it was so worth it!!! The only low is that it's over.
Plus it was fantastic seeing PJ fans in action. What a great community that is!!!0

exact reason why I decided against Alpine. That would have cost too much and I was in no position to be dropping £1000-£1500 last August

Highs: All three shows I attended!! the mega 3 hour Stockholm one. I am so glad I went to that one as it played all the songs I liked the best. I am not into rarities like some people here so it just did me fine. I very much enjoyed the travelling as well because it went so smoothly and nicely!!!
Lows: Amsterdam 1 - I could have been closer to the front as it's not much fun at the back since people don't rock out as much.

Encore 2 from STOCKHOLM, i can now die and go to heaven. On 2nd thoughts still need to see them at The gorge & MSG.0

Highs: Meeting some cool 10C members at the pre-party in Manchester, sitting second row--Mike's side (my apologies, again, to the guy standing next to me if his right side was bruised from my enthusiastic jumping up and down), and the whole freakin' show.
Lows: Manchester 1 was the only show. I'm not going to make that mistake again. ELITIST FUK0 I'm not going to make that mistake again. ELITIST FUK0

Overall I think this tour has been amazing.
Highs: Three fantastic shows - Manchester 1&2 and then Oslo last night. All great in different ways. Release opening the tour up was incredible - bumped into both Marta and her friend down the front which was great. Met a husband and wife over from New Zealand that night as well!! On second Manchester night was due to be on my own as mate had to go back to work and to cap it all - in a lonely seat! Walked into the "meet up" pub in the afternoon and bumped into Neil (Chelsea48) who I met in Belfast in 2010, and then two great guy in Rene and James. Managed to get a standing ticket and ended up seeing one of the best PJ shows ever! The Oslo show was also great but for different reasons - the crowd wasn't the best and Ed was clearly poorly, but they pulled an amazing show out of the fire. The set list in Oslo was probably the best of the three as well.
Lows: Oslo is fecking expensive!! I probably could have almost done a trip to see the guys in The States for the two and a bit days in Norway. The crowd were also fairly subdued, but I think that's just the Scandinavian way. I got told to stop jumping up and down and singing so much by a guy 4 rows from the front after song three songs which put a dampener on things for little while. But to balance that out in the Fiasco bar over the road from the Spektrum both the night before and on the day of the show, met loads of brilliant people including some very cool locals.
All in all - brilliant. Can't wait for the next one!!!0

Went to six shows - two each in Manchester, Amsterdam, and Berlin. Up to 13 shows now!
Highlights - They absolutely killed at Manchester 2. The best show I saw, in terms of performance from the band. Yes, the set list from Amsterdam 2 was mindblowing, but as a band they were more "on" at Manchester 2. One of the best shows I've seen from them. Obviously, Amsterdam 2 was also special. Wish they'd mix it up like that more often. Seeing Ed join Tom Petty in Amsterdam was another major highlight for me. One of the top moments of the tour for me. The Ramones museum in Berlin was cool, too -- thanks for the tip, Ed!
Lowlights - They massively overplay the songs from Ten. It's my least favorite album and I've now heard "Even Flow" at 12 of my 13 shows. They also overplay a few songs from Backspacer. Conversely, they act as if Binaural and Riot Act are albums they wish they hadn't made. These are two of my favorite albums from any band, and they treat them like Lost Dogs songs or something. I really wish they would remember the fact that they once released and stood behind these songs. The fans love them. We're dying to hear them. It blows my mind how badly they ignore these albums. (Avocado, too, but not quite as bad.) As much as people raved about Amsterdam 2, it was basically the outtakes from Ten that got people so excited. I'd be far more excited to hear them whip out some tunes/outtakes from Binaural and Riot Act. Let's hear a setlist that focuses on some of those tunes, instead of playing Even Flow, Alive, YLB, Rockin', Just Breathe, the Fixer, Given the Fly, Do the Evolution, and Corduroy at pretty much every show. If it sounds like I'm complaining, I'm not. It was a great tour. But their overemphasis on Ten songs, their ignoring of most of their mid-period catalog, and lack of creative encores (basically the same thing every show) has them veering dangerously close to a nostalgia/oldies act, IMO. I'd love to see the band challenge themselves a bit more and get a little more creative in terms of setlists.Los Angeles - Sep 11, 1992
