Question about Nothingman

Why was it not played at all on the 95 tour?

It was debuted in Ann Arbor in 94 (and it wasn't played badly or anything...sounds amazing!) and then nothing until a few times in 96 (twice at Bridge School and once in Italy) and then fully incorporated into the sets in 98.

Whats the deal?

Honestly, maybe they just didn't feel like playing it then. Bands just do that with certain songs. It took forever for "Breath", and "Leash" to make appearances in the sets again. That's just my best guess, but hope this helps.

Yes but when those songs were 'new' they played them quite regularly (especially Leash in 92/93) and Breath is also quite heavily played in the early shows. They then became more sparse in later tours before being brought back many years later.

I just find it strange that it is a song off what was at the time of the 95 tour the new album. To not play it at all seems kind of strange.

It's just interesting to me if there was an actual reason or not.

It's quite possible what you say about just not 'feeling' it for what was a pretty raucous tour.

don't know. there are always a few tracks that are sort of ignored after an album comes out, and the 95 tour wasn't very long. who knows.
