This is the first "Hard to Imagine" since...when?

EDIT: wow, since August 2009 unless it's dropped someplace else in Europe (and I don't think it has). I'm still shocked "Hard to Imagine" didn't come out at PJ20--it's such a killer song.

Just got back, holy hell that was one AMAZING show!! I didn't think Amsterdam 2 could be topped, but this came close! The crowd was high energy, the band looked like they were havin a lot of fun, had mike's mom come out haha. Hard to imagine!!! Yes! Leash! In my tree! My throat is killin me, voice is gone. Really cool hearing crowd sing Stone's solo on 'Do the Evolution', Ed let the crowd take it for a bit, then the band got lost and mucked it up a bit, but hey, it was fun. Too much awesomeness. What will they bring night 2...??

Great night and great setlist... all it was missing was better man and maybe man of the hour (still waiting to hear that one - can't see it happening tho). to be honest i was blown away by the lighting set up in the venue and the job Kille did...

Only waited 19 years to hear that live. THE BEST!

Oh Hard to imagine was alright as well hah. German crowd was amazing.
Mention has to be made of that insane banner which read something like "we are still rocking in the free world".
It went along half the venue

Amazing show, even after seeing the band rip Amsterdam into pieces. Gread crowd (maybe a bit too eager up front), had a perfect stop next to the barrier. Great energy from the band and what a setlist. Leash, In My Tree, Hard To Imagine, I Believe in Miracles, Once. Just great.

One tiny detail - to the morbidly obese guy up front who was making lifes of people around him miserable - sincerly all the worst.

What an awesome show! I've never been that close, it almost felt like a club gig! We left soaking wet and without voices left and could barely walk, it was so energetic! The band seeems to have been having a great time too.
I loved that it felt as if they played three closing songs :D

We're looking forward to tomorrow cause in Cav's opinion the doors are now wide open for the obscure stuff at tomorrow's show :D
  • Great setlist for you guys. Hard to Imagine is a song I'd love to see live; one of my favourites.
Haven't heard In My Tree live in 16 years!! Love that song. Was it the old or new version?

Again, the energy is the best on this tour! Band energy, crowd energy, very positive, non agressive! Amazing setlist. In my tree was a surprise and itsounded amazing. Matt on drums was out of this world. Its like '96.again. my first ItsOK tag, totally wasnt expecting it and screamed in happiness! Unthought know was another highlight, irs my new In Hiding. :) Ed was very chatty and in agreat mood, but also very concerned about ppls safety.

Pretty good show. A little too many repetitions for regulars at Berlin shows for my personal taste (open with Release already! :) ). I ended up pretty much front center after a few songs. Big mistake. Had a group of about 6 to 10 drunk guys who were doing their very best to make the night a living hell for everyone around them right in front of me. Not a pretty sight. For the most part I just had to deal with them when one of them got out to take a piss and (literary) fought their way back afterwards which happened about every other song. VERY annoying. Apart from that I had a great night. Met some great people and got to hear some songs I'd never heard played live before. So that's great. Let's see what tomorrow brings and if they restock some of the shirts (most of which were gone by 4pm).

I don't write to often n the board but for this show I just had make a comment.

First the gig: the energy of the band was amazing. The setlist was great, I wished to hear Long Road and In Mz Tree for aloooong time, now it finally happened and during one show! Also It's OK tag, my favourite one, was played, hell yeah! I hope, that today they will play even more rarities.

Now sadly to the bad things:

    1. The crowd up front. I want say, that this is not directed at everyone up fron, but to certain people. I was with mz girlfriend at Mike's side, maybe in the fifth row or so. During Why Go and afterwards, all hell broke loose. I know that peaople in that area want to have fun, jump etc. but you are not alone, please remember that. It got really tight with people jumping from the back, I got hit with someones elbow in the eye, mz girlfriend received a blow in the stomach. Also some idiots from the back were pushing and shoving reallz hard just to get to the front. FUCK YOU, if you wanted a better spot, you should have come earlier or sign in to Ten Club and not use your strength just to push people to get to the front. I was to big concerts before, but never happened something like yesterday.

Also to people who smoke weed or cigarettes. Really? Can't you do that before or after the show? It was already hard to breath in that place.

    2. This was my first Ten Club entry and I must say I was dissapointed. I came around 2.pm to collect the tickets and took a place in the line. A girl in front of me had a number on her hand (around 67 I think, can't remember exactly). I did not know at that time what it was for. As soon as I collected mz ticket I went to the Ten Club area and took again a place in line right after the last guy before me, quite good place in line actually. Later on I heard that the numbers were given to organiye the entry and were given according to who came first and so on. So how in the world was I able to stay in line for the tickets after someone who was 67 or so if there were later on people with numbers over 200 that were standing after me in the line, and I didn't have anz number, nor knew how to get one. Because of that, shortly before entrance suddenly maaaaany people arrived with numbers on their hands and went in before me. Why? I mean as soon as I arrived I collected the tickets, took a place in the line and waited. Why were people benefited that didn't wait in the line? Just because they came eralier, signed a list I didn't even know existed (wasn't in the official email) they go go for example sight seeing and then just come back and still have a good place in line? If so thant this is not fair. Please explain this someone to me, as I might be missing something if so, than I apologize.

All in all it was a really great gig and I hope todays will be even better!

I won't be having access to the internet till saturday probably so sorrz for not replying to everyone or not immediatly! Also, sorry for my english :D hope you will still understand what I wanted to say. Cheers and have a good one today, I know I will!

Show was really great, high energy from the crowd and the band. They really fumbled Do The Evolution, I think it was because the crowd started singing the guitar part during "Admire me". That prompted the band to repeat that part instrumentally a couple of times and when they got back they were not in synch. It looked like Jeff and Mike stopped playing, but Stone continued until he got it right. I will have to take a listen to the bootleg to figure it out fully :) On another note Ed's voice was not in top form, felt like he was struggling a bit. Again something I have to check when listening to the bootleg, but it felt like they were dragging out some jams because of Ed's voice.

I hope for a pretty different setlist tonight. Everything I heard yesterday I had heard live before. First time that happens to me. Still great gig!

Unfortunately these two things bug me like hell.

Some fans spoil it for others -
Dominik Alisa and their friends all with the same home made Berlin t shirt smoking shouting to each other and bringing 5 friends plus their girlfriends into a space for two persons - fucking joke, you ruined it for lots of volks

The self styled ten club police that organise the writing of numbers on hands --- just fuck off you are not official and this practice was stamped out in Europe a while back if you know what I mean.

Shame we missed Whulhide this time ........ the sound in the O2 was not the best.

do a google image search for something like 'keep calm and carry on poster'.
it's a British poster from WWII, i believe, one of those supposed to bolster public morale. the phrase and poster have recently started appearing everywhere in various forms... such as 'shut up and listen' ;)
