I can drink Bud Regular, especially on a hot day.

To be honest, I'm only going to be able to go this thing one day, so I'll be blowing off Mr. Z. It's ok, he'll still get my cash - that's all he cares about.

I'll definitely be there both days, but most likely not all of both days.

that's why i'd hope it was a separate ticket and not a wristband. never did a festival so don't know. i don't have much interest in Jay-Z but definitely would know people who would take that one day. apparantly Stone was on WMMR and said they would be closing the festival so looks like sunday night.

the best part of this will be to watch all the non pj fans' reactions to their set. gonna be a weird weekend!

At Jazzfest a couple years ago people just talked over all the songs they didn't know, like Half Full and Down. It really blew, to be honest.

That's why I am really lukewarm on this. Plus my wife's stupid job she's really busy on Labor Day weekend every year, which complicates everything.

Just play the goddam WTF Center and call it a day.

I agree with this. I'm not a big fan of this festival stuff. would much rather just hit a PJ show

One of my friends has a roofdeck in the art museum area. I wonder if he will be able to hear the concerts from there. that would be ideal. I can sit in a kiddie pool on his deck, get so drunk I can't stand, and not have to deal with the crowd that's gonna be flocking to see these hip hop acts. triple win

Yeah, it's definitely going to be a strange mix of people. Should be interesting. Going to be a god damn blast though. I can't wait. We'll definitely be having a party on our deck before/after, either/both days. I'll post info once we get closer if anyone wants to have beers before or after.

    I'll be there. 8-)

Wife told me have fun.

yeah, I couldn't pay my wife to go to something like this. which is one reason why I love her so much

All of this stuff brings back great memories of the fall of 09. springsteen, PJ, and the phils. falls of 08 and 09 were the fucking best

Just read this regarding yesterday's game...horrid

Not a single plate appearance against Beckett lasted longer than five pitches, the first time that's happened in a start in his career.

Also, I know baseball is secondary today with the concert news, but does anyone else think it's obvious that utley should move to LF and galvis should stay at 2B?? Utley's knees bother him most when he's in field...2B is the second most dangerous position in baseball (after catcher) because you can't see the runner bearing down on your during a DP...anyone can play LF (except dom brown). Also keeps mayberry/pierre off the field, which is addition by subtraction. Makes too much sense for the dummies running things down there.

They better win this series vs the punk nats. esp with halladay and hamels starting 2 of 3

I don't know, man. I think this is going to be pretty awesome, regardless if I end up there all day or not. I really don't think the crowd is going to be bad at all, based on the rumors. Pearl Jam and Jay Z with the Art Museum in the background is just fine in my book. About as cool of a venue as I could ask for. Short walk to bars and a quick cab home. Works for me. I'm pretty god damn pumped

Disgraceful base running. A Little Leaguer would've done better.

i hate polanco. release his ass. he blows and is really hard to take.

and pence is killing this team. he is hitting .156 against left handed pitchers so far this year. 1 fn fifty six.
