Seeing Mike in such a tiny place was beyond cool. I mean, the whole of The Casbah might be about the size of half a basketball court, and that's probably being generous, so that was great to see him up close. And the band was really, really good as a whole. Better than I would've expected. Plus Ace Frehley? Come on.
The one negative, if I can channel my inner 'angry old man' (I'm 42, that's old, right?). People...people. Enough with the camera phones! I get it, it's our boy Mike. He's right there in front of you. But my god, take two or three pictures and then enjoy the rest of the show. I was only about 10 people deep but I could barely see him through the sea of arms and flashing devices held over everyone's head the entire show. The cat next to me must've taken 200 pictures....no exaggeration. I hope this isn't the new norm but I fear that it already is....
I don't understand why people take so many photos....I understand taking a few to show your friends, etc, but spending the entire show fussing with a camera? I prefer watching the show, and taking mental pictures!
I was front row in T.O. for 2 shows in 2006. I started taking photos, and anytime a band member came very close, I'd fuss with the camera to get a few photos....I then realized how much of a distraction it was to me, as well as those around me. These days, I just focus and get lost in the show, without worrying about anything else!0 -
Great, Fun Show in Vegas!!!! Won raffle autographed Klausen poster signed by whole band. Buddy paid 50$ for his! Got 2 picks and an autographed ticket stub by Mike. Met Mike and chatted a bit after the show.
The Sabbath tribute band was kick ass. FTM covered Zeps Ramble On and ACDCs Sin City to close out a great night. Glad I went.0 -
per Duff Mckagen twitter, he will be joining the band tonight. Hope we get another guest or two as well!“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”0

Assuming there's no alien interference, PJ Radio on TenClub will be doing an audio webcast of the Flight To Mars set from the Independent in San Francisco on Sunday, May 20th. Tune in around 10pm Pacific Time to rock out live! http://www.pearljam.com/radio0

Great show last night. Mike McCready and Star Anna also autographed my 7" Vinyl cover and I got a Flight To Mars guitar pick.

so what ever happened to Jacob Dylan?
Tim can rip a lead for sure. he was fun to watch“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”0 -
Mistress of Reality and FTM rocked my face off at the Troubadour last night!
Before FTM’s set, Mike placed a flyer for the defunct LA punk band, The Weirdos, against his Marshall amp (the same amp that he stuck the head of his guitar in TWICE during the show). Here is the flyer: http://www.theweirdos.net/flyers/pages/weirdos%2520middleclass%2520agentorange%5B1%5D.htm
Mike was killing it on the flying V for most of the evening while wearing a black “Shadow” t-shirt. He was very active with the crowd and very generous throwing out guitar picks. Cool moment when he signed Ernie Vedder’s 7” Keep Off vinyl and took it across stage to have Star Anna sign it too (see his post for pic).
I saw four equipment cases (#207, 217, 304, and 305) on stage with the classic Pearl Jam stencil and “F.T.M. Tour” written on fluorescent green duct tape. Cool to think that the Troubadour stage was the 1st time the boys played under the name Pearl Jam (3/10/1991). http://www.troubadour.com/history
Doors opened at 8pm. Mistress of Reality went on at 9pm and FTM hit stage just after 10pm.
