For the record NYC IS one of the greatest cities in the world. You can argue all you want that its not, but it is. Heres a fact. NYC is the most diverse city in the world culturally. Tell me where else in the world I can get indian-chinese food, korean bbq and then world class italian all within 5 miles. Theres more culture here than most places in the world. Settle down haters.

For the record Opinions are not Facts... Facts are Facts...

oh and also your fact is not a fact

Los Angeles and Houston are more diverse than NYC...

also... I can get all those things you mention within a mile radius in Natick, MA

    i like NYC... to visit

Actually, you're wrong. That is a FACT. Queens is the most diverse community in the world. FACT.
That is true. Wikipedia says so: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queens

"Queens is the most ethnically diverse urban area in the world with a population of over 2.2 million, 46% of whom are foreign-born, representing over 100 different nations and speaking over 138 different languages."

    I had no idea!

    It's settled - they have a sign.

And I'm still hoping this rumor remains just a rumor. I have a commitment on 9/29 which will prevent me from seeing this show and I will be a teeny bit bummed if I miss it.

is queens a city? or if we are just talking area's, we should go find a college campus someplace

Queens is one of the 5 boroughs of NYC. That's the point if we were talking overall city, it's not even a competition. I'm talking about 1 section of it. Remember, if NYC's boroughs (counties) were split into their own cities, Brooklyn would be the 3rd largest (Don't you remember your Welcome Back Kotter!?) and Queens the 4th largest populations in the country. Then, add in The Bronx, Manhattan and Staten Island, and  that's The CITY. That's a lot of freaking people in a very small area.....
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

    Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Staten
From the Battery to the top of Manhattan
    Asian, Middle-Eastern and Latin
Black, White, New York you make it happen

    Brownstones, water towers, trees, skyscrapers
Writers, prize fighters and Wall Street traders
We come together on the subway cars
    Diversity unified, whoever you are
We're doing fine on the One and Nine line
On the L we're doin' swell
On the number Ten bus we fight and fuss
'Cause we're thorough in the boroughs and that's a must
I remember when the Duece was all porno flicks
Running home after school to play PIX * 1
At lunch I'd go to Blimpies down on Montague Street
And hit the Fulton Street Mall for the sneakers on my feet
Dear New York I hope you're doing well
I know a lot's happen and you've been through hell
So, we give thanks for providing a home
Through your gates at Ellis Island we passed in droves

Are these Central Park concerts usually organized/orderly? or just free-for-alls?
Also, how is the sound normally?

Sound at the Central Park summerstage shows are too low. I go to about 25 concerts a year, have been to almost all the venues in NYC, and Summerstage is my least favorite.
