That's nuts..... :nono:
I (think I) got one. But, the $40 (with shipping) was about my limit. I would never have gone anywhere near $250 for this (let alone $500).
The further sad part about this is they were selling it for charity (or at least that's what the site said).
So, if this is them selling some of the "extras" off (remember - EMEK said he gave all 130 to them, so there is another 90 or so unaccounted for after the initial sale) for more $ for the charity and giving 40 of us a break, then that is great (but I assume the ebay listing would say as much). But, if it's just someone who came into a few trying to get the highest buck, then that is sad. Not from the flipping stand point - hey, once you buy it, its yours. But, from the charity stand point.Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0 -
I'd just like to say, the guy that sold it has NOTHING to do with me. I used to be friends with this asshat, Slow John, ScreenprintVault, but he is TRULY a piece of shit and tried to rip me off. I haven't spoke to him in weeks. I do find it QUITE upsetting that Gary from Inside The Rock Poster Frame is saying that is my sale, and emailing the people who sold these, MY FRIEND! :nono:0

I just want to know how you know there are 2 oversold0 -
I know that 2 oversold because the person who made these discs has been a friend of mine for over 15 years, like an older brother to me. I also can guarantee, Screenprintvault probably has as many of these as they could buy. Do the math, 40 sold online, 130 total, someone in Portland who went to the Disc Golf Tourney has a stack.0

That really sucks!MLMF Det0 -
No refunds, they had put aside a few extra in case of an oversell. If you think you got one last night, you did! Congrats! Enjoy0

This is great and all but I just don't see the attraction in disc golf, let alone spend $200 for a disc. Buy a set of golf clubs and let's go golfing for real!0

I can play a round of discgolf for nothing.
A normal disc costs $10-$15.
So for under $50 I can have all the equipment I need and can go to pretty much any course and play...FOREVER.MLMF Det0 -

That's a pretty small investment for years of enjoyment! I usually just ask clients to golf so that it's free as well. However, it can be costly at $40-$60 per round of 18.
I get the idea of throwing the disc and trying to par a hole. How do you 'putt' or finish the hole? Is the hole enlarged?0 -

And no one here is paying $200 for this (at least I hope not!!)0 -

There is a basket with chains you are trying to get the disc into.
There are multiple kinds of discs that all do different things.
The most simple breakdown is Driver, mid-range, and putter.
(Top to bottom, Putter, Mid-range, driver)
But each of these categories has it's own set of discs.
Some are "over stable" some are "under stable". This affects which way the discs want to fly through the air naturally (hook to the left or right).
People also have different throwing styles. Forehand, backhand, tomahawk, roller, etc.
That's the other cool thing about discin'...Anybody can play!MLMF Det0 -

I'm intrigued! Sounds like it can be a bunch of fun. Thanks for the explanation! I won't give up my regular golf game but I will be looking at trying some disc golf in the future.0 -
I was a disc golfer before I became of ball golfer. Love 'em both. Gotta say though...Disc golfers, as a whole, are a lot friendlier, approachable and down right cooler than regular golfers. Most disc golf courses that I play have a "Green Mandi" hole and most regular golf courses do not.
Cheers and Happy 4/20!!

There's a disc golf course in Port Washington, WI that has a table in the woods... in this table, someone carved a pipe into it, so you can smoke out of the table... pretty cool!0 -

On some disc golf courses, there is an obstacle called a "mandatory", a tree or telephone role etc that you must go around on the proper side. A Green Mandi is a hole where you must take a hit of weed BEFORE your tee shot. Most often, if you didn't happen to have any or a tool to burn it in, others would help you out. just one of the great things I love about disc golf.
Cheers,

Ah, I like to take a rip, hold it in while I drive, throw, then exhale as I watch the disk sail!0
