Is this a serious suggestion? Because it actually sounds like a great idea to me.

Do it! Only a couple left. I called. If we cancel before 72 hours we are good. so why not. Soo convenient to be right there.

    ...........If PJ is there! Ha!

For the right amount of $$$, I'm sure anything is possible.

Why wouldn't they? They used to do shows there all damn summer. And on weekdays, too.

I think. Maybe I'm not remembering clearly, but there were summers where I swear I was up there like 8 times.

    Yeah. They've done it before.
When I was a teenager, it seemed like every weekend up there was booked.

I know the workers at the Alpine Valley Resort were bumming that there was very little activity there in 2011. Really nice people. They also loved the fan base and couldnt believe that so many people following a rock band could be so easygoing/courteous, etc...

I could see PJ helping them out and agreeing to play more there. Its a nice gem of a place and it was sad to hear it goes to waste for the most part.

Yeah I remember a thread that had some rules too, something about shows on back to back nights can't go past 11pm or something. Obviously the rules didn't have much impact on PJ20. I doubt they would complain about having more shows there this year, should just mean more money for the area.

I would think with all the money it would bring in to the local economy, they would have no problem 3 weekends in a row.

Here's the link I was thinking of from last year. It mentions a license for 2011 so who knows, 2012 rules may be different...

Does not seem like they have gone close to 18 dates in a while.

    that's it.

i would assume it applies going forward

No more than 18 concert dates will be allowed per season, unless additional dates are authorized by the county

so no issues on numbers at this point.

i think so far confirmed are 2 phish shows, 1 DMB show and 1 Kiss show plus the rumored Buffet show.

And this is unrelated but a search of Alpine Valley on that newspaper website returned an article about PJ donating to a local charity after their PJ20 visit, thought this was cool so sharing it: http://gazettextra.com/news/2012/feb/22/school-builds-blessings-backpack/
