Ed a capella/Vocal Tracks from Ten

A buddy sent this to me. The poster has isolated the vocal tracks from the original studio recordings. Definitely worth a listen. It sounds like you're there in the studio w/ Ed.

Black (the power of the song resonates just as loudly w/o the instruments): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GpLJKzo ... ure=colike

Evenflow (the vocal overlays are trippy and the spoken work snippet around the 2:51 plays well "Hey man, you got a dollar...c'mon just some spare change, oh I know you got...Oh God bless you man, God bless you"): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJglBEdF ... re=related

Bonus material if you need an afternoon jolt of energy ;) .....Cornell/Outshined: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkgnfCrC ... re=related

There's some other interesting stuff there, PJ included, if you dig around.

I love these acapella tracks, you really get to hear the quality of the singer's voice. Vedder and Cornell never get the respect they deserve in all those greatest vocalists lists.

just google 'youtube to mp3' and you should easily be able to find a link to help you out. I use firefox and there is an add-on which allows you to do it.

Whaaaaaaaaaat? I don't even like soundgarden... But, Cornell might be the best vocalist of all time. Definite top 10 in regards to rock music.. I tend to agree with most of your fucked up posts, but not this one!

Sure, why not? Technically speaking he has impressive power and range, he easily holds his own. Anything like tone of voice is purely subjective, so all you can really judge it on is technical ability, and for a baritone to be able to hit those highes is :o

it is. This is the downside of that genre fading away .....less of these tracks. I've found some really cool stuff out there in multi-track stems as a result of those games.

also just noticed a really noticeable cut at 2:45. Interesting ...not something you'd notice in the mix, but when its isolated its pretty obvious.

At 1:31 you can hear the following lyrics from the voice track of Porch from the the Ten Album. Here's the youtube link. Its amazing that these lyrics have been hidden for over 20 years, they are chilling. What a great song.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL5SzUDR2bI

    And the sun will fly
    And the rain will come
    On a ground pouring
    Ahh see I'm alive yeah
    I don't what today is
    I don't what she crying
Yeah I know time ends fading
    And I don't know
