    D, amen brother. I couldn't have said it any better. It goes without saying, and I know it's been repeated time and time again, but what a truly special weekend and amazing occassion. The vibe there was unreal between everyone and all the people just seemed to have each others' backs because we all had a same common bond.....being there to celebrate the best fucking band in the universe.

    It was so special it seems like a dream right now.....I fucking cried like a baby when my buddy and his wife dropped me off at the airport to go back home because the weekend had so many special meanings to me. Is that bad?

    But that site says Buffett is playing Bristow, VA on Sept. 1, if I'm reading it correctly.

    Here's a backup plan: We all go to Alpine, tailgate in the cornfields, then head to Speedy's room to watch PJ20.

    i read it the same way....only alpine valley mention is in the comments.....

    does speedy have teh super duper blue ray version? otherweise indifference71 is out. :lol:

    Did it for pj back in 98..like 15 of us..wasnt that crib and much cheaper. Usually you can talk the people down if they dont have that week booked in advance. Used vrbo many times for vacations.

    I'm watching "The Fans Are Alright" from PJ20, which I haven't watched for a while. I didn't know where else to post this, but God......I fucking love this band and I'm happy to share and enjoy their music with people like you who share the feelings. Best band on the planet and thanks for enjoying their music with me.

    Hopefully we get a nice DVD rom Alpine that would compliment this piece nicely. :D

    Yea i can understand why an out of towner would not feel the need to go back..If you did I would suggest a few days in chicago before or after if you had time..

    I wish i would have hit the tailgate as well...although the preparty at logde was pretty good.

    I loved AV. Being from Texas it was a nice change, the cold weather (yes 50’s is cold for me) beautiful country - everything was green and not on fire (we had bad wildfires last summer) and I LOVED Chicago.

A rotating place of venue would work too, Labor Day at the Gorge would be awesome. I'm just so ready for a fall tour to hit up a couple of shows. Just reading this thread made me remember how much fun I had last year at Alpine.
