Ed is not just gonna do 5 solo show's. If these 5 sell out (which they will pretty fast) more show's will be added. Trust me. This is Ed we are talking about. ;)

I see a couple here or there added but I don't see more than that. Everyone will take August off to recoup and get ready to play "swing states" and take down the GOP in the fall. I see a benefit or 2 the remainder of the year after Election Day.

I can see 1, possibly 2, added in London. Likely there'll be other shows, he could well infill the two week gap between Copenhagen and Amsterdam.

I wasn't going to be greedy and book tickets for EV (Ive got manchester PJ tickets) but i don't think I'll be able to stay away. It's just a pain theres no hint as to where seats will be... makes a big difference in a seated venue, at the mo undecided... do you think they would announce more dates? has it been done before?

Why does a tour need to make sense? Ed is coming to Europe to play a few shows, he is a traveling musician, he hasn't played solo here before, it obviously pays well, he has music to promote, it fits into his busy schedule. What else needs to make sense? There are a lot of bad things happening in the world that make no sense, EV tours are not in that category. Buy a ticket, don't buy a ticket, no analysis required. I hope those who bag tickets enjoy the shows and hope Ed enjoys it enough to come back for a longer tour in a few years. I'm giving it a miss this time since I already have PJ shows but my choice would be Amsterdam for sure. I saw Tom Waits in the Carre and it is a beautiful venue in the most fun city in Europe, what's not to enjoy. So enjoy.....

    Manchester MEN - 20/06/12. Manchester MEN - 21/06/12

I'm surprised Italy didn't get those Ed solo show's that have been talked about & rumored on many MANY websites since before Christmas. :|

I am a little surprised at the UK venues in the sense that the Barbican/Palladium in London and the Bridgewater Hall in Mancs seem more appropriate for Ed shows. Perhaps these will be the only UK shows and they have picked bigger venues because they want as many people to get in as possible. I am tempted by Amsterdam especially when seeing pictures of the Carre but if he announced a Glasgow/Dublin date later like Cornell did I think I would rather go to those particularly as I may be flying solo.

What I do like about this is that there is time to decide before the drawing and they go on general sale a week Friday. It has been well organised and I like the lottery system. It's just a case of 'will he/won't he' announce more dates.
