Has Dave A ever commented on Glorified G?

The lyrics to the song were a direct and public shot at the guy. Maybe we all didn't know it then, but I'm wondering if anyone had ever asked Dave A what he thought of it, and if it bothered him?

This is odd but hilarious I think, but somehow and I don't know why, but after reading about that story in the PJ20 book about Dave A. brining up that he had two guns, but they're "just glorified versions" and Ed getting pissed and they kinda write that song there on the spot, I now just have this picture in my head of that room their in on the inside of VS., but they're off in some side room with their equipment set up and all of that goes down. I guess the two recordings (Vs. & Vitalogy) with Dave A. are were pretty volatile.

I bet Dave regrets his ignorance everyday though.
I wouldn't regret starting a song to interrupt someone who was about to make fun of me in front of thousands of people.........but I'm sure if he was THAT offended by the song he wouldn't have agreed to drum on it in the first place.
Atleast he got canned and now we have a fifth musician in the band.
I never would watch any award show live other than the two times Pearl Jam played live on the MTV Awards but I watched this on the fan made Jason A archives dvd and it was so easy to see why Dave got kicked out of the band just by watching this. I was embarrased watching him run to get the award. It just didn't feel like I was watching a member of Pearl Jam. Dave seems like a nice man but he did not fit in with the most talented and amazing band of my generation.
I loved Dave A as a drummer, but I love Matt too so its all good... would have loved to see one concert with Dave A, but what can you do?
Not sure why you don't think Dave A was a musician but he was. And don't get me wrong he really didn't fit in with the band but as far as being arrogant goes he wasn't the one who wrote a song mocking one of his fellow band mates, just sayin. I love Ed and just about everything he does but the one thing that pisses me off about him is the way he treated Dave A.
Regardless of who treated who like what, it seems pretty clear with 20/20 retrospective vision that they wouldn't have been able to sustain that mix of people for the long term.
Sorry but anyone who has been a fan of this band for more than a minute knows Dave A. was a huge part of Pearl Jam's enormous sound in the '90s. Mike McCready even says so in the PJ20 book. Pearl Jam was a rock band with Dave, their switch to punk is really what has hurt their music the most. It's no coincidence that the only Pearl Jam albums to sell well had Dave on them or supporting them, and to this day the only songs that get any play on radio (still) are all Pearl Jam songs with Dave Abbruzzese on drums;
Evenflow (the Single version)
Daughter
Elderly Woman Behind a Counter in a Small Town
Betterman
Corduroy
You may hear Given to Fly on a rare occasion, but besides that there's no radio play of any of he Jack and Matt music.
Ed and Jeff might not have liked Dave personally, I get the strong feeling Mike and Stone felt otherwise, but they enjoyed their highest level of success with Dave Abbruzzese in the band. They went from playing small clubs to playing in front of 70,000 people with Dave on the drums. It's been a slow, steady, decline since. My first Pearl Jam show was Randall's Island night II in 1996. That was an epic show, but I definitely got the feeling I was catching them as their wave was cresting. I still kick myself for not seeing them in '92 or '94 when they came by the NY area, but getting tickets back then was really impossible (and not because of server problems).
Is there a video of this somewhere???
Jeff said they would want to play a song a certain way but Dave was not able to understand what they were talking about. Dave was only around for one and a half albums.
And check out this thread. "Angel was written before Glorified G"

Verified??? Looking for dates unless someone knows for sure??
What?..
Evenflow (single that gets the radio play)
Singles soundtrack (Breath, State of Love and Trust)
Yellowledbetter
Alone
Pretty much all of Corduroy
Vs.
Vitalogy
Etc..
Pearl Jam played nearly twice as many shows during Dave's three years with the band as they did during Jack's three years in the band. And then Jack quit, you think maybe Stone and Mike were a little pissed about that?
There are many Pearl Jam songs that have not been played right since Dave left:
Rats (I saw them play this at Randall's ISland)
Dirty Frank
I've got a Feeling

I would like to bold dirty frank on that list Dave's drumming on that song is amazing and I would also like to add Wash and just about any song from the ten album, especially dirty frank and wash though.
Very well put. I know it was a crazy time for everyone in the band, but for EV to be a complete asshole to one of his fellow band members and then write a song mocking him was not cool at all.
I was in the car with a friend a few weeks ago and Glorified G came on the XM station we were listening to and he asked what this song was about. I explained it to him and his only response was "Man, that's fucked up".
Ok, I understand wanting to give Dave his due for playing on some of PJ's biggest and most popular tracks, but any suggestion his ouster is the reason for their decline is ludicrous. PJ was going to get that big no matter what their drums sounded like. There is a reason that when Jack Irons needed a sabbatical the band didn't break up and instead just replaced him. Not saying that drums aren't important, but for this band it's been more about the lyrics, guitar and bass. Although they'd miss Matt C. if he quit to just do Soundgarden and his creative writing, I doubt they'd break up.
Pretty significant difference:

What's Dave have to with I've got a feeling? Is your point that only Dave could hang with Ringo but Matt can"t?
Dont worry ... I seen it
