What a wonderful story, Lindsay. I can't help but think that instead of asking Ed for something, you gave him something and it obviously meant a lot to him. A night like yours is priceless and tens of thousands of people wish they were in your shoes tonight - including me."Tweet"

Thank you soo much for sharing your amazing story
I'm not jealous....I'm extremely happy for you!!!
Reading your note obviously meant a lot to Ed and I imagine was very humbling for him
Such a lovely story0 -
This is the whole reason I love PJ so much, the fact that they really care about this sort of thing, the way they inspire others...
in the end thats what its all about.
Congratulations man
I prolly woulda shat my pants if I was in that position, so thankfully it was you there, instead of me"....and was very surprised to see that he didnt actually have a recipe for anus-ankle soup." - Big Ed0 -
BEST. STORY. EVER!
(Recently there was a thread where someone told a story about talking to Eddie on the phone years ago and I said she had the best story ever. But she's now officially bumped. Not much could top this story.) Thanks so much for sharing.
I do find it a little ironic/funny though because didn't you recently say in a thread of mine that people who wait outside venues before shows are wasting their time, and say in another thread that you wouldn't want to meet Ed this way? I'm really glad you changed your mind!0 -
i would of went for the autograph,ha ha,you lucky lady:)0

haha I know I do remember saying that I thought it was probably a waste of time. I'm a bit of a hypocrite:p. It was absolutely not a waste of time0 -
Lindsay! I was 2 rows behind you and saw your reaction - PRICELESS!!!
So glad you got to have that experience, keep it ALIVE even when it is "tomorrow"!0 -
Wow I have tears in my eyes reading this. I can totally relate to what your note read.
In 1992...this band changed my life for the better forever.
Congradulations! You will always have this memory to reflect and share with your family...present and future."Had my eyes peeled both wide open, and I got a glimpse...of my innocense, got back my inner sence, baby got it...still got it"0 -

Isn't this was makes Ed and PJ so special and the experience always so personal - for all of us.
We should all have such a rgeat letter in our pocket. I had a chance to say hi to Ed at the Daughter of the Revoltion Hall (Voters for Choice) and barely croaked out hi and thanks and shook his hand. What a dork.0 -

keep on playing your guitar and writing music and maybe someday you'll be signing autographs in a back alley for YOUR fans.

Ed is so fucking cool!!0 -
One other thing that he mention (and I think he was greatly humbled by) was that the effect the Pearl Jam has had on you was the same effect that Howard Zinn had on him.0

I think the voting comment was great. Instead of voting for American Idol, now she's getting people to register to vote.
What happened in SC? You can point me to the thread if you want...
thanx0
