I'd say demand was not high for this show because it is an add-on. Others have already made their plans. So..... lucky for us!!

Stop it Ed! I can't see you this tour, darn it! Now, you're coming to a place I could easily get to from Illinois & would love to be at?!!?! Stop it!!!! :) Love you! (I'll see you one of these days...)
Once you hold the hand of love, it's all surmountable.
  • Cool,
I can feel a classic Elvis cover coming up.
If only we all lived in Memphis.

While I do indeed love that tune...Ed should bust out something else this time since he did that one 3 years ago.
I'm going the public sale route....wish me luck

He did that in a little trio of covers that last time he was in Memphis along with Let My Love Open the Door and Hide Your Love Away. It was amazing. Also, I got Ten C seats, but out of curiosity I just checked to see what is available on TM, not-so-great seats are all that is left at this point. I think tickets in the South seem to be selling like hotcakes (hint, hint, PJ as a whole should come on down in the Fall or Winter of this year). :)
    Hearts and thoughts they fade....
    fade away...

I am at peace with my lust.....for Eddie.

How are the seats in the lower balcony in the Orpheum?

I was in the middle of orch.last time and I have never had balcony seats. However, my husband was in balcony in STL last summer and he said they were really good. I know this varies by venue, but the Orpheum is a very beautiful and small venue, so I do not think that balcony seats would be bad or a bad experience at all. I think gala would be the crappy ones. Last time Eddie remarked, "wow, you guys are really f%cking high up there."

edit: I am thinking Memphis tix are gone at this point. Just tried out of curiosity and TM cannot find any.

I sat in the lower balcony at the Orpheum to see Ben Harper a few years back & the view is really good. The rows are staggered enough that the heads of people in front of you are completely out of view.
I wish I were the verb "to trust" and never let you down

Cool. Thanks. I got 10C seats for me and I got 2 for some friends from TM in LGALC.

5/1 can't get here fast enough.

I was at the STL show too. I had orch (10C) but way towards the back, the balcony there has a big overhang, so some up there were actually closer. In my opinion in those types of venues, the seats towards the front of the balcony are usually better than those under the balcony in the orch section for the view and the sound. I sat in the front row of the balcony at the Ryman in Nasvhille for Ed a few years ago and those were some sick seats.

I have been looking too and have not seen any.

Argh! Ryman just announced Counting Crows May 5 - guess that means no EV at the Ryman :(
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

May 2nd is still open. never give up, you can't give up
but that would be memphis, nashville, new orleans in 3 straight days.

And Dallas the night before Memphis. He's not gonna do 4 shows in 4 days.
  • So you think it's safe now for me to book my Memphis flights? I was holding out thinking that he'd add Nashville.

Nashville show chances don't look so good, unfortunately..
