O.K. Kitchener attendees let's liven up! Time is drawing near and I am ready to party with PJ.

Is it too soon to start checking the extended weather forecast? (I need to know what to pack).

I checked http://www.weather.com and the temp still seems to be around 75-80 for a high. Then it gets cooold at night. (I'm from SC- anything below 65 is cold.)

    Layers. Layers. Layers!!

i think all of us coming up from the south may freeze @ nite. the lows here, Arkansas, is still in the high 70's if not low 80's @ nite.

I'm just sad I can't bring my flipflops! Socks and shoes? What are those? :)

  • Personally I was hoping it would be colder. I was looking forward to getting away from the heat. Cold weather is great when you are just visiting. You dont have to deal with all of the difficulties it provides on a day to day basis (shoveling the car out, pipes freezing, driving, etc) In fact, most of my vacations are centered around trying to get away from the Texas heat in the summer (which usually lasts 6 months). I'll be in shorts and a T in Canada for sure.

I'm coming from Alabama, it's been sooooo humid here that I'm sure it will feel like it's freezing in Canada. I waited too long to book at Walper, but I'll be staying across the street and will definitely be at the after party. Hopefully someone will watch to see that my drunken ass crosses the street safely back to my hotel.

Besides clothes, toiletries, money, etc., what else is everyone bringing? Like..besides cameras... boom box? guitars? two-toed sloth?

I'm just too damn excited I don't want to forget anything that I'd want to bring!

rain jacket, passport or birth cert, if driving- a special ins. card, ibuprofen (or your pain/hang over medicine of choice), some boots if we are still thinking of the exchange idea, and I could go on and on and on. In fact, I keep a "vacation list" on the computer. I print it out and lay it beside the suitcase. As I pack something I check it off. I know.. sounds compulsive or neurotic or something.
