    "Freedom" is not the ability to vote, or the ability to travel state-to-state without papers, it is the solace that you enjoy from knowing that you have no regrets, that you gave your best. Everything I have, start to finish is what you get. This isn't a practice, there are no dress rehearsals. I'm not sure that I'll ever get this chance again and I'm surely not going to waste it by not participating.

    I want no papers to travel, which is allowed by me by the constitution... so essentially I dont need a drivers license, which technically is papers.

    Let me add, since I forgot because I dont fly much. I need those papers to travel via airplane during interstate travel or by bus or any other mode of transportation.

    9/11 was not just some uppity thing. that was planned for years because of our foreign policy in the middle east. if it was not the world trade center and the pentagon it was going to be something else. our ignorance and arrogance in our foreign policy led directly to 9/11 and we have not changed our policy one iota. we are still a target and we will get hit again.

    my personal freedom is not threatened. i can still walk down the street, say and do whatever i want, as long as it is not breaking any laws or harming anyone else.

    the phrase "our freedom is being threatened" needs to be completely re-thought. if people were so concerned about freedoms being taken away, they would be rebelling against the patriot act. turns out, we willingly allowed the patriot act to be implemented, so we are just as complicit in stripping of our own liberties as anyone else foreign or domestic...

    I have never said we have perfect government..who does ? and I would like to see some real CHANGE in our countries leadership and policies but I also look at the big picture and what it takes to keep our safety and freedom we enjoy today,I may not understand completly the cause of war other than what we are fed on t.v but at least I'm not pretending to know and then call it truth, there are so many horrible things happening in the world today and some of you just think the US has everything to do with it then in the same breath you complain that the US does nothing to fix it....then if the US does try you say that we did it for the oil and corp.America...really ? o.k....damned if we do and damned if we don't, right ?

    What does any of this have to do with what one person on this board does? Why single this person out, making a comparison as to what that person does whether or not that is self serving or not, vs. what the US govt might have done that is extremely questionable in terms of attacking a country? (blowing up Iraq)

    Even if SweetChilds entire life is devoted to self serving (food, shelter) is it at the cost of thousands of lives? hows that for a stretch?! ;)

    The Schutzstaffel ('SS') goes down in history as one of the the most feared fighting forces the world has known, since the days of the Spartans. There have been and are today, many elite fighting forces, but none of them can touch the level of fear as the SS.
    That said, I can understand the Marines, Scout Snipers evoking of the image of the SS in a war zone, if you wish to strike fear in your enemy. You are basically saying, you are a brutal killing machine who shows no mercy, possesses no morals and there is no escaping death, should you confront them.
