You poor things! Having to wait more than a year to see pearl jam! Can't imagine how that must feel

Because at a certain point money became the most important thing. Like it or not, it is what it is. But that made it a lot easier to not get to see any more shows. All about memories at this point. But I do laugh at people spending 75 bucks plus to see Ed play a damn ukulele. You would shit yourself at what 35 bucks a ticket used to get me.

Trust me Eddie is well worth it. Thats is with out mentioning Glen Hansord on the bill too. I was looking at my goods purchase history and the first thing listed is $78 for 2 tickets to Albany show. Oh how great those days were :D

I respectfully disagree. Could see Neil Young solo for those prices. Ed with a uke is not even in the same ballpark.
Have you see Vedder at one of his solo dates?

Ed, by himself, is pretty impressive. You get a mix of his solo stuff, covers and some pearl jam tunes. Sure, $90 a ticket is a little high, but the intimacy that you get in those small venues cant be matched. Plus Glen Hansard is spectacular as well.

I highly recommend to anyone to catch Vedder solo, it is an great experience.
And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
    I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.

....dont care about Alpine or EV solo.......for a 20th anniversary this is bizarre.....put it this way, they still haven't played Seattle...that's like Bruce not playing new jersey after 20 years....its so strange.

The 20th Anniversary is over buddy. They won't tour here again until the new album is finished.

Ed played maybe 6 uke songs. 24-26 without a uke. Worth every penny.

People are going a little overboard with things like "a slap in the face"...

But, it certainly seems a bit strange with such a big year that they haven't yet toured or scheduled a tour of the US. Weird.

Good things come to those who wait ;)

Obviously the band felt playing 2 gigs at Alpine was better/more special than doing a normal tour.

we KNOW they do things a little different...

we know they like to do things their way vs. being mass produced & over exposed.

you remember the no interview phase?
you remember the no ticketmaster venue phase?
you remember the no music video phase?

you people remember this stuff right?

if you want to see them soo bad....go oversea's and catch a show or two or three....

    100% agree.

It's not that we here in the US are looking for sympathy or anything, or even that the band owes us anything, I think it's just more that it was the 2oth year and there were only two dates. And as far as it "only" being one year, this isn't remotely true. They did a fairly small US tour in May of 2010. Realistically, -> IF <- (Soundgarden's album may have serious impact here) they do tour, it will be in the fall of 2012....that's 2.5 years, not 1.
