the ones dont like it care and talk only personally, with no arguments why loottery isnt good
probably, they had speed internet,or applications at their helped or alot of free time..
but if we put out ourself and judge the new system with the old,is so obvious which is better
and the one show limit is for ev solo tour..no pj tour..Tim confirm it..
noone need to worry...same as seniority..when it comes to pj shows is still on..not for ev show...
this is pj fan club...not ev fan club ..ev solo tix is a bonus, like tres or brad would be..

Plus still use seniority to determine your location/seats.

Say there's 1,000 pairs of Ten Club tickets to be sold. The lottery selects which 1,000 members who requested tickets for a show get pairs. It's after that--between notification that "yes, you have a pair of tickets" and the week of the concert itself--that Ten Club sorts through the buyers of those thousand pairs to arrange them by seniority.
And this was the way it worked before, except that instead of a lottery to decide who the thousand "winners" were, it was a matter of who succeeded at busting through the internet traffic jam to score a pair. Seniority didn't enter into "do I have tickets or not?" before, and it wouldn't now. Seniority would only matter for sorting through the Ten Club ticket recipients to put them in their seats, after all the pre-sale/on-sale madness has calmed down and Ten Club has time to sort it out. That's why I haven't understood these panicked threads about seniority having no meaning now. My money's on it meaning the exact same amount in the future that it has in the past; the only difference is that a lottery replaces the F5 scrum.
shows are on April..in 70 days from now...
and if its pj tour, will be more time ahead..europe had 7 months ahead of the announcement..
and the ones score the tix, then they will add seniority..lottery nothing to do with seniority

got to assume with a 2500 seat theatre 10 club had 125 pairs, probably not the best odds this tour.
Don't use your logic
Ok I admit, sometimes I'm scatterbrained and don't see the big picture. I'm just old and don't like change
Love ya Dimi!
10c manager post and clear this here at the forum....
i add lottery for 2 shows at europe,prague,berlin 2..not a problem..score both..
both 17000-18000 venues

I agree with most of that except I think it should be one pair per tour. Especially with the decline in the amount of 10c tickets that seem to be allocated to shows over the last 10 years. Otherwise you're going to end up with people that didn't get tickets to any shows, and some people who got tickets to multiple shows.
If they have the manpower. I would think limiting it to 1 show per tour would be sufficient. If they do have leftover tickets, they could so a 2nd sale, free for all kind of thing with the remaining tickets. This would increase the odds of people at least scoring tickets to one show.
Seniority to determine location/seats still works I think.

I agree with you...But, I don't think the 10c is going to do this...Since I don't think they would be able to sale all of the fan club tickets to each show...Unless it is a popular venue..example Boston....Fans want to get there vacation days lined out for shows...Plus, plane tickets and etc...I could be wrong...But, I would be down for like 3-5 pair of fan club tickets per a member..
Jeremy
I like the lottery myself...You have your own opinion....There is a lot of fans who work during the day or can't make it to a computer during the day....I am down for putting my name in and let them do a lotterry..Plus, this way everyone has an equal shot....Instead of going online hitting f5 a million times..
Jeremy
Judging by every online sale and the relative activity of these boards during the day, I'd say the vast majority of people have computer access then. Hell, I've used vacation days to ensure being available before. If it we were talking about a necessary resource, I agree fairness rules the day. For something like concert tickets, I'd rather see effort rewarded.
So, we should have to take a vacation or call off work?...Just to try for pearl jam tickets...I work two shifts...Days and afternoons...While I am at work...I have no online computer access...

You're on the computer now, no?
That is because I am on afternoons this week...I rotate every week....One week of afternoons and one week of days...
Jeremy
Control. Crossing your fingers for a lottery is aggravating, hammering away on the Pearl Jam site is aggravating, and dealing with a big TM onsale is aggravating. I'd rather deal with whatever aggravation allows me an advantage based on determination. I can certainly understand why others would prefer a lottery, though.
I think it's an improvement too!
I guess my larger point is the silliness of the fake concern about "what is best for everyone." I prefer a system that gives me the best chance at scoring tickets, you prefer the system that gives you the best chance at scoring tickets. Totally cool, but let's all just admit that.
