you guys,show that?
For over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopedia in human history. Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation that could fatally damage the free and open Internet. For 24 hours, to raise awareness, we are blacking out Wikipedia.
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

SOPA and PIPA are not good acts. I'm glad they are doing this. I hope everyone will take the time to learn about them and hopefully come to the same conclusion that they need to be stopped. Wiki is making it very easy to contact your representatives. If you are in the US just put in yoru zip code and contact them.
Google has their logo blacked out today for the same reason.
If you watch myth busters here is Adam Savages layman's terms explanation of why it is not good. He also offerers some great links to others opinions on it.

Well that's interesting!! I'm good up in Ontario, the site isn't blacked out.The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols0

Yeah but I find its a great 'start off' point into getting the background, details and further reading of a topic all in one page.0 -

When it comes down to it, essentially sites like this one would be impacted by SOPA and PIPA. I could easily see this place shut down without due process under the SOPA/PIPA guidelines.
It's bad for everyone, even the people that think it will protect them. They just don't see it yet.
Not to mention, our elected officials that don't even understand how the internet functions are voting yes because they are bought and paid for....Post edited by Travelar on0 -
I won't believe Wikipedia is shut down until Wikipedia tells me so!Alright, alright, alright!

I'm glad they considered their worldwide visitors when planning this protest. As a Canadian I'll still stand behind my American friends in protecting their rights.0 -

It's blacked out in the UK, I thought it was the English language version no matter where you accessed it from.
