IM really struggling to find the right frame for my Vedder Chicago night 1 poster. Its such a classic poster, I want to go with a more vintage type frame to match the poster, but I also want to keep it simple. Any ideas?

    Hi guys,
What is the most inexpensive way to get these posters framed? I have roughly 15 posters from shows I went to that I want to frame for my office. Is Michael's my most inexpensive option?

Thanks, I didnt feel like combing through 333 pages on this thread so I figured I'd just ask

Depending on the size of the poster you're wanting to frame, have you tried a floating frame? You can pick one up at Wal-mart for $20. As long as the poster is less than 20" x 26", it fits between two layers of plexi-glass (one on either side of the print). The frame is a simple 1 1/2" wide black surround. You just see the wall behind the frame around the poster. It sure beats $75 - $200 for a custom frame/matte.

I want to display the poster included in the Benaroya Hall box set. I play the records, but keep the poster in the box. I am not sure what frame would suit it. It is not a "graphical" print like the concert poster. It is a picture of the band playing. Here is a link showing what it looks like. Any advice would be appreciated.

Not sure what your looking to spend, but I like to use small / local framing stores to do my posters.
I haven't had the best of luck with the big box framing stores...Michael's / Hobby Lobby etc.
Take your poster in and ask them to give you an estimate.
They will help you find the perfect frame & mattes!!

I can only imagine you spend a pretty penny on your frames with how bad ass they look

The hockey pucks on the bottom row are just wedged in between some other items to keep
them in place and the other rows are just stacked up on top of them. It's a balancing act
but so far I haven't had any issues. I'm sure one day they will fall on my head while I'm
    sitting at my desk.

The teams are the Tampa Bay Bucs, Bolts, and Rays!

    Very cool poster!

This was my first Pearl Jam concert and the poster is my "holy grail". I was finally able to aquire it back in November. Between getting mine framed, the holidays, taking pictures, & trying to find time to sit down and upload pictures, I didn't know when I would get around to it.

So, I finally sat down to post some pictures, I took a look at the thread one more time and there were your pictures. I thought to myself, very funny & what a coincidence.

    GREAT Framing job Matt!!!
I agree with shep too... DO NOT DRYMOUNT IT!!!!
My rule of thumb is if the poster is signed / numbered I won't drymount it...
I have drymounted a few of my larger & less expensive posters...
but these are the ones that I would never even think of letting go!!!
Did you cut the frame yourself??
I LOVE black frames like these and I think they really make the posters POP!!!
I don't think this poster needs a matte either...looks AWESOME the way it is!!! :ugeek:

  • Why not drymount it?!?!? If your not gonna re sell it... It's in pretty bad condition. Those rolls and creases would bug the shit outta me. Only way they would flatten out is to dry mount it.
