Disrepect to Mike

  • I could see if they played it exactly the same every time. But when you factor in Mike's solo, it's like they play a different song every night

Personally I thought it was more disrespectful by all the people in the front dead center of Ed who sat last night during No More. There at least 15-20 people who sat down during the song. I mean leaving your seats is one thing but sitting down directly in front of a person pouring his heart out is worse in my opinion.
    maybe he'll take the hint

I go to the bathroom before pj come out and don't miss one minute of it even if it's a song I don't especially enjoy as much... It's there loss whatever song they are missing. I think if ppl sit during no more they should be thrown out.
I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you

Anybody remember when it used to be hard to get into a PJ show, early 90s? Man, I would have given my left nut just to see them play Even Flow.

When it stops being special to you, that's probably a sign you've seen too many shows and should probably sit a tour out.

Entertainment to you, but to Mike it is his art, his craft, it is essentially his life's work. Suppose you were slotted to be the centerpiece, the main attraction or the focal point of a presentation, performance, speech, or anything where people came to see you as part of a group. Suppose you you look up and see a large number of people get up and walk out. How would you feel? The point is, no matter what the reasoning behind people getting up during Mike's highlight song, it is disrespectful to Mike. It doesn't matter why anyone gets up, it is the basic idea that it is being done in a contrived, controlled manor.

I am done trying to explain common decency and respect to people who show neither. It is either inherent in your personality or it isn't.

    Says you anyways.

I am tired of sped up evenflow. If I have to piss, I go then. If I don't I jam out. I don't see the problem with not inflicting harm upon oneself by holding urine.

As long as I don't get up 20 times, miss half the show, or ruin someone else's experience what the hell does it matter if I take a piss? I strategically pick that song because it's long, I've heard it a lot, I don't care for the speed, and I HAVE TO USE THE BATHROOM.

EDIT: High and mighty central. Perhaps this is the reason people piss in cups. Out of respect for mike? get off your high horses people.

People piss in cups because they are fucking scumbags, it has nothing to do with Mike.

Yes, but I am merely pointing out the hilarity of your argument. People who stay in the show and piss in cups are "showing respect" by remaining. Where as those of us who leave the concert area to relieve our full bladders in the proper place are being disrespectful.

sorry but they should find a new showcase for his talents.
I am sick of that song live-its a great song, but I dont need to see it live again for at least five years. Add black, alive and crazy mary to that list.

I think it's a good song to go to the bathroom for because you know it's going to be a 10 minute song and you won't have to miss 2 songs, one of which might be something you haven't seen before or love. If you love evenflow, you leave at a different point. If you love evenflow but need to pee really bad and don't want to miss anything else, you could leave in the middle.

I don't really see a problem with it.

That's my view essentially. If you have seen it multiple times then it's a good time to move along to the pisser.

No more. Is by far the worst song. I will just go walk around the arena when that one comes on.

I totally agree. By the way, I play softball on Sunday mornings, and I just want to point out that Albert Pujols is a lousy hitter. The guy couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. And since I used to play touch football, I have to say that Peyton Manning throws like a girl
i don't get the sports references, but if you say those guys suck, i trust your expertise

I hate it as well. I never get tired of hearing Mike tear up that solo!

When I go to a PJ show, I want to hear all the big hits like Evenflow, Alive etc. along with some rarities. I'd be very disappointed with a show of all rarities. Most songs are rare for a reason--they aren't as good as the hit songs and songs that made albums! With some notable exceptions of course.

The people that are sick of hearing the hit songs should just take a break and let some 10 clubbers who haven't seen PJ so many times go and actually enjoy every single song of the set!

As for peeing, don't drink much before the show--at least not the hour or so before the show so you don't have to leave in the middle of PJs set! Get it out of you before then. I love to drink, but I'm not about to miss any of PJs set for a piss break, or to be drunk off my ass and not fully remember/enjoy the show. I can get shitfaced anytime, only get to see PJ once or twice every 2-3 years usually.

I will probably take some shit, but who cares.

I think the whole thing of people rushing from their seats at the begining of Evenflow sucks. I can't believe that Mike doesn't notice it. I just think it is disrespectful to pick that part of the show to take a piss or get a beer.

It was very noticeable at the Garden. I had to get that off my chest.
i understand where you are coming from, i think the thing si though, right or wrong, die hard fans who have seen them plenty of times have seen that song plenty of times and don;t care if they miss it. I for one, could never hear Even Flow, Alive, Jeremy, Daughter, and Better Man ever again and be ok with it. Having said all that, I rock out to those songs every time I hear them!!

dont you think that if the people leaving during YL bothered the band so much, they would keep the house lights off?
