I don't have one but unless you have musician's ear, you may not reap the full benefit of this item.
Are you able to accurately tell the difference between myriad mp3 fidelities? Able to tell when you're hearing flac or SHN vs lossy file formats? If so, then I think this mat might be up your alley. If you're buying it to impress anyone at all (not implying, honestly), it might fall on deaf ears.
Nope, doesn't float the vinyl. I just don't know how many people can discern the sound of floating a vinyl. It takes an audiophile's ear, which I have - yet a $50 mat for a turntable isn't something i'd pursue.

i don't think the subpop one "floats" the vinyl. none of my 3rd man ones do
