how are the general admission floors in europe usualy? i have only been to 1 show ever with pearl jam where there was no seats that was barrie ontario 1998. on the floor in manchester uk and amsterdam, is there any pit you think nowadays for a pearl jam show? debating weather to get floor seats, or first deck seats off scalpers, rather be on floor though if there is not much of a mosh pit anymore or crowd surfing in europe at pj shows? anyone in europe been to the arena shows has there been rough mosh pits? or it pretty calm? im thinkin it easier for me to score floor seats off scalpers too and they about the same price as first deck right near the stage

It gets hot and sweaty down the front but for mosh pits, not really these days. maybe back in the 90's but I think the crowd has grown with them and most of us are in our 30s/40s these days

Pretty calm I think mate until a heavy song kicks in then people go wild. But as the previous poster said, we're all getting older now!
There will be more touts than fans outside the place considering how many tickets there are on ebay :roll:29/05/2000

You don't want to be close to the stage if you don't like pushing to stand on the both feet if you know what I mean. On the side or in the back of the floor is fine you can get your own space where you don't have 6 people leaning on you.
And if you want to try for a first row which is the safest place because you can hold the reil then you have to be prepare to come early in the morning if not to sleep in front of the veneu on some places, everyone get his number with marker and you wait all day
....good luck with that
and probably you gonna meet girl name Sandra and she will explane everything to you
CAN'T KEEP CRAZY MARY IN MY TREE NO WAY NOT FOR YOU. ALL THOSE YESTERDAY JEREMY is ALONE, SAD with RATS & BUGS it's HARD TO IMAGINE a JEREMY a BETTER MAN.

sleep in front of the venue? that could save me some hotel costs..

seriously though, how early do you reckon you should be at the venue to get front row?0 -
GA can be pretty mental0

How people can prefer seats before GA is beyond me (if you dont have some condition that requires you to sit obviously, and age does not count as a condition if youre under 50
). You dont have to be there to early. Theres always gonna be people queing since early morning to get to the front row, but imo its not worth it. You come in tired from queing, and you cant move in the front rows. I would say the best place to stand is around like 10 people back. Maybe get to the que 2 hrs before opening.
Remember, with standing tickets you can always move back if it gets too crowded.PJ

You don't need to queue at all to get near the front (except for the very front rows, I guess)...just eel your way through the movement of the crowd during songs...I appreciate that some people are not interested in being full on roughed up, but it is supposed to be rock and roll...you will have to come into contact with people...it's no one's 'right' to have breathing space...as long as no one's intentionally trying to injure someone else, it's all in good, mutually respectful fun...you want to let loose at a gig.
btw... I realize no one's actually saying they want 'no contact'...I'm not aiming this at anyone... it's just that I find at some gigs, people moan like fuck when they're as much as inadvertently bashed into...people want the rock without the roll! Too bad! I would say that those people should stay at the back
You can't spend your time alone, re-digesting past regrets - you can't come to terms and realize you're the only one who can forgive yourself - it makes much more sense to live in the present tense.
Leeds Festival - 25/08/2006, London O2 - 18/08/2009. London Hyde Park - 25/06/2010...upcoming... Manchester MEN - 20/06/2012, Manchester MEN - 21/06/2012
