    Quick story

Over christmas break in high school(1997), our wrestling team had a holiday party in the gym with our families. I ran out to my car to grab LO2L and popped it in the gym stereo. We listened to the entire cd over the loudspeakers. Before Fuckin Up came on I debated stopping the disc but ultimately decided to let it play. Besides a couple of friends and myself, no one even noticed. Couldn't believe it!

I'm surprised this is even a discussion- Ed's been Ed doing what he does and says in Pearl Jam for 20 years. It's not like it's a new thing and I doubt it is going to change now (and I wouldn't want it to).

I know when I had my angst going on
I really liked it, felt it somehow cleansing
I was pretty angry 20 years ago

now I don't really enjoy it as much cause he's a Dad and I picture him like that
I picture him more gentle now and a different kind of role model

that might be messed up of me I guess though

  • Perhaps one of the most interesting words
in the English language today, is the word FUCK.
Out of all of the English words which begin with the letter F, FUCK is the only word referred to as the "F" word, it's the one magical word.
FUCK as most words in the english language,
    is derived from German,
the word "fricken[?]", which means to strike.
In English, FUCK falls into many grammatical categories.

As a transitive verb, for instance.
    John FUCK-ed Shirley.
As an intransitive verb, Shirley FUCKS.
    It's meaning's not always sexual;
it can be used as an adjective, such as
John's doing all the FUCK-ing work.
    As part of an adverb,
    Shirley talks too FUCK-ing much.
As an adverb enhancing an adjective,
    Shirley is FUCK-ing beautiful.
    As a noun, I don't give a FUCK.
As part of a word abso-FUCKING-lutely,
    or in-FUCKING-credible.
And, as almost every word in the sentence,
    FUCK the FUCK-ing FUCK-ers.

    As you must realize,
    there aren't too many words
    with the versatility of FUCK.
As in these examples describing situations
    such as fraud,
I got FUCK-ed at the used car lot.
    Dismay, Aw FUCK it.
    Trouble, I guess I'm really FUCK-ed now.
Agression, Don't FUCK with me buddy.
    Difficulty, I don't understand this FUCK-ing question.
Inquiry, Who the FUCK was that?
Dissatisfaction, I don't like what the FUCK is going on here.
    Incompetence, He's a FUCK-off.
Dismissal, Why don't you go outside and play hide-and-go-FUCK yourself?

I'm sure you can think of many more examples.
With all these multi purpose applications,
how can anyone be offended when you use the word?
We say, use this unique, flexible word more often in your daily speech.
It will identify the quality of your character immediately.
    Say it loudly, and proudly!
    FUCK you!

I try to limit my swearing on the forum to words I've heard Eddie say or sing onstage. I figure those must be on the 'forum approved words list' ;) I have used worse once, but it was a word Sting has also sung on record - so I figure he's got me covered on that one. Thanks Sting! :)

    I'm learning SO much! :D
The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols

I, for one prefer them to be more than occasional.

One night at the dinner table our then 6 year old daughter asked, "Mummy what's a cunt?" She said ask your dad so I said I didn't know but not to say it because it was probably just something somebody made up. Mrs Veddertown said it was a good job she didn't say clitoris because she would have said there's no point in asking your father that one. Wham, bam, thank you maam!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, this comes from Mr. Cox himself. Let it be known that Mr. Cox prefers a "more than occasional" fuck.
