I'm concerned about the security of the Crowd Surge site. On one occasion, when I tried logging on to Crowd Surge, I entered the wrong password, and I got a message to that effect, but it still allowed me in to view my account. :?

    Same here...

  • I also agree about the permissions - did it say in our terms and conditions that we give them permission to share our details with a third party, ESP credit card details? I don't think I gave permission for this.

The legal disclaimer on this site says they do not share personal details with any other company. Not sure about US data law, but in the UK you would have to obtain explicit consent to do so.

From the disclaimer: - it's here:
Confidentiality, Sharing of Information, and Disclosure of Practices
    Use of registration form information

The Ten Club's registration form requires users to give us Registration Contact Information ("Registration Contact Information" includes but is not limited to user name and e-mail address) and Demographic Information ("Demographic Information" includes but is not limited to user zip code). We use Registration Contact Information from the registration form to send the user information about the Ten Club. The Registration Contact Information is also used to contact the user when necessary. The Ten Club does not share any personally identifiable information with other companies.

The Ten Club may send mailings to its members in the following ways:

    * The Ten Club Newsletter/Magazine is distributed bi-yearly via mail to current members.
    * The Ten Club holiday vinyl single is distributed yearly via mail to current members
    * Special email mailings are sent out sporadically. These mailing may include renewal reminders, announcements, news, events, and updates.

Oooh hang on. That says we get TWO editions of Deep a year! When did that last happen?

And as for people being able to log in with the incorrect password, this just gets worse and worse.
  • Just got a reply about the cc details from :

We can assure you that there is no security risk.  Had this been the case we would have taken immediate action

I didn't try for these tickets ( bit disappointed there are no London shows) but I'm worried at their use of the word 'sabotage' - it's such a strong thing to say, don't they realise that they are scaring people so they had better have a strong valid reason for this.

I also agree about the permissions - did it say in our terms and conditions that we give them permission to share our details with a third party, ESP credit card details? I don't think I gave permission for this.

I don't think they shared our credit card details with crowdsurge. I would hope that the people who are worried in this thread about their credit card details had to enter their credit card numbers when they went to buy tickets on crowdsurge.

I just don't like the 10 Club creating an account with my email address and my home address on a third party website. I did not give them authorization to do so, I had no intention to buy tickets for this Euro tour, so they should not have done so.
