I would love if they played Springfield again. I remember the last time they played there in 1994. Good show too. I wish I could have gone but I was young and didnt even have my license at that point. Or they could play the Mullins Center at UMass - Amherst. They played at the UMass student ballroom in 1991 & 1992. But there is probably no chance of either Springfield or UMass. Usually when they don't play Hartford, they play Albany - Pepsi Arena (03, 06) and in 2000 they played Saratoga Springs - SPAC. Although in 2006 they played both Albany & Hartford. Can't see the band coming to the 'Port. Can't see them playing Mohegan. A return to Springfield would be a stretch, and I doubt it'll ever happen again.
The Rent is an interesting thought...pretty sure they could pull it off with the help of the Boston and NY crowds, however the actual sound there very echoey and isn't that great (saw Stones and Bruce there). It sits in a neighborhood and they would certainly have to deal with a curfew.
I guess I'd go with the Meadows. Only because of the unpredictability of the crowd. The band has always had to earn their money in Hartford, and they've delivered every time.
