Looked over G's RE homework yesterday. It was all about the creation of the world: religion vs. science (she's only in Y7!!). Had to choose a statement with which she agreed (eg. god created the world, a bit of science a bit of god, no god...) and discuss. Now that she's no longer in a church school, she's really letting it rip starting with 'there is no god'!!!! At least I know I won't be called in by the headmistress this time!

Emmi.. always easy to do, difficult to explain!

I love him! Weird, isn't it? Ever since she was tiny, Gabrielle has always been very open to the spiritual world (sometimes frightingly so!) and we've been having chats about different ways of expressing this spirituality (religions, etc.). She loves the native american way of doing this and though she's fine with buddhism and Jesus as a leader and healer, she completely rejects the idea of an all powerful god that noe one has ever seen!

On another subject and speaking of Herbie.. G saw the pic you sent me and yesterday saw an ad for M&S clothes for kids. She said there was a little boy that looked just like him (same cheeky face she said!)!

  • Hey guys, hey ladies..

    So red........

That show in Boston, I drove 14 hous overnight straight through to go to it, got there around 8 am, got in line for released tix since there were no 10C seats (it was an added show) started drinking and what not, got about 5 people from the window when a cop comes and gets me out of line. One of the 3 guys with me were underage, got caught drinking, they searched our car, found pot, kicked us out of the venue before we got in and took the pot (it was great pot :()............the next night in Hershey I talked to the guys who were in front of me in line, turns out they got 2 row seats in front of Ed......needless to say I was upset that I missed that show, it was probably the best of the 03 tour....:o
    Cheers,
    NEWAGEHIPPIE

Keep your eyes open, eventually something will happen....

Same here... it's cool though.. put the options/arguments in front of them and let them make up their mind. They will eventually when they are mature enough. You can guide but not force upon them! Well.. that's what I think... maybe not all parents would say that!
