no limits on the FTP. I pay Verizon enough for the bandwidth so leech away! (once its up that is)

I'm interested in this hard drive idea as long as we aren't breaking 10c rules.

    Thanks!

If it isn't a new item and/or currently available in the Ten Club store or currently available elsewhere, it hasn't been a problem for trading with each other. Mass distribution over the internet was never the intent though. The older material no longer for sale anywhere is not a problem, trader to trader. Thank you.

afew yrs back...on the other forum... sent some dude an external. he sent it back with every pj show ever recorded from 90 - 03, also got some of the 03s-06's that didnt fit onto it on about 30 or so blank dvds.

this is 100s of shows in flac/shn format.

im sure a bunch of people here remember the audio archives that were compiled... but there have been so many upgrades its hard to keep track these days of what the hell i actually have

i wanna say leatherman did soemthing like that.

I've been trying to do this independently for awhile now. I have a ton of shows on CD from the days of trading and b&p's. I would love to get in on this for sure!
    Go Get 'Em Tigers!
  • just found the hard drive everything from 90-03 is still on it! actually part of 03 is on it... i have 03-06 backed up onto blank dvds. 03, and 04 are shin/flac, 05s are mp3s from basecamp, 06 are flac i beleive. whatever 07s i have are fan recordings... and everthing from 08-10 is on cd from kufala (since these are still avail by the band i they are off limits)

obviously the 90-03s vary in quality, all 00s and 03s are official boots. everything before are either soundboard, fm radio broadcasts, or fan recordings
it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...
  • Sounds like a awesome idea, personally i would like to see show in Flac as much as possible.
  • Is this something where we upload to and then send our hard drives and you transfer for us? Or is this a site we can upload to as well as download from?

    Thanks.

  • Hi, in reference to a Pearl Jam hard drive:

There are certain PJ fans, most of whom do not post here, who are members of the "Black Box Society". The members try to share the Black Box with all worthy PJ fans. It has given its members countless hours of enjoyment . . .

The Black Box is an external hard drive housing all recorded Pj shows. Recorded shows, not all shows, because some of the early shows have yet to circulate, which doesn't necessarily mean they were not recorded, just have yet to be circulated in the traders' community (if they still exist). I'm sure there are other kinds of Black Boxes out there.

There is approximately 780 shows on the Black Box (1990-2011). Unfortunately, the Black Box will never be uploaded here because the band is still selling 2008-2010 shows, and as always, the members of the Black Box Society will never do anything to offend the band and/or Ten Club.

Good luck in creating an external hard drive, if you all band together, I'm sure you can do it. But keep a look out for a mention of the Black Box, because I bet its closer than you think.

    Cheers

    the temp address is -
    ftp.baconslab.dyndns.org
    port 21

    login - pj
    password - lastexit

if you wanted to browse it in a web browser the link is

    ftp://pj:lastexit@baconslab.dyndns.org

that should get you in. if you wanted to upload you would need an ftp client and use the info up top. I have the domain pearljam.co.cc but im having issues trying to get the ftp to work with it. until i get it working the temp address above should work . i dont have anything on the site at the moment just one video show in 1990 folder just to test the site and someone was sending some stuff to the upload folder. The username above does not have the rights to del files or remove folders but you can add files and folders. I am trying to get a big dump of stuff on there to start it off. If anyone has issues connecting let me know.

  • A few years back i did something similar, i offered for 20 people to send me an external HD, and i copied everything i had on to it, and sent it back, all i asked for was that they paid shipping. I had everything from 2000 through 2009 at the time, and all of 1995, 1996, about 50 shows from 1998, most of 1994, the handful of shows in 2002, and scattered shows from 1991-1993.

Unf. this HD was lost in the Tornado back in May, however, thanks to My3rdEye, i'm getting all that collection back, he's already given me back 2000-2010, and i'm waiting on the rest.

This seems to top a list of things lost in a storm. Damn that sucks!!

I'd love to get in on some of that action when and if it comes back.

  • Yeah I can view everything in my browser, but not via ftp client. So it's obviously up and running so I don't know why I'm getting a connection error.
