    We are Pearl Jam fans too, we have a big market in Australia, and is it fair that on a consistent basis things are put on sale at 2, 3am? when things are at a civilised time for Americans and Europeans? the answer is no..

    Surely there is a time that suits us all...

    I personally thank Santos for dropping this at a good time, and would like to see how you would like it if things constantly went on sale in the very early hours of the morning when you have to get up and work the next day...

    Marq Spusta had a sale for the Brisbane signed number that was going on sale at like 3am local time, and I said something to him like 'is there anyway you can make it at a more friendly aussie time to try and get an aussie poster'

    His reply (and I paraphrase) 'I totally forgot about the Aussies and considering this is an Aussie poster I will try and sell some at different stages which will be more time friendly for you all downunder'

    That's not entirely fair... if you're into collecting and someone is put on an auction (charity or non-charity) based on the info that was out there of 150-200 copies... you'll overpay for it.

    Some people spend their extra money on vacations, some do it on collections, some do it on cars, etc... doesn't mean they're filthy rich or anything.

    put yourself in the bidder's shoes....I am glad charity made out, trust me as I work my ass off for many non-profits but looking back 20/20, as the bidder, I would feel it was a little disingenuous to now see almost 5000 being dumped on the market right now.

    I never got Backspacer on vinyl and I never got the white vinyl Fixer, yet I have been meaning to get both. Now I don't feel I need either one of those!

I was just at my computer a little bit drunk from dinner and about to respond to someone posting about Deep/10c single and then out of the corner of my eye saw something about a Backspacer White vinyl and my brain was still clear enough to go "OMIGOD, THAT'S THE STUFF THAT WAS GOING FOR LIKE $3,000!!!!! GOTTA GET ONE!!!!!" And I did :D

    Sounds lIke I need to add Demetrios as a friend on FB in addition to staying glue to the computer 24/7 if I don't want to miss out :mrgreen:

    My 2 cents...

    I purchase many things out of Europe and have to deal with time zones issues all the time. It's just the way it is. If a company is based out of Europe and selling something, I expect them to sell it at a time that works for them. PJ is based on PST time so I expect them to sell things at a time that works for them. I wouldn't expect a PJ employee to stay up til 2:00 am and then do a release just so it works for AUS.

    .. and some east coast people probably missed this release as it was fairly late in their day.

    10AM is probably better than 8-9PM for some people.... I was really lucky to have checked the forum when I did. I usually check it a lot more during the day. I kind of think they wanted to avoid a huge logjam on the servers they might have gotten had they posted this earlier in the day.
