Cool, lets do it tomorrow. Wednesdays are good for me because I'm out of the office early for payroll so we can go at lunch or after work. You pick the time.

You tell me.. either is fine. I only work around the corner.

Damn I didn't realize that the Addams Family pinball machine is sooo damn expensive... figures since its the one I want.

Back from Tower Records, drinking a bottle of red wine from Australia Eddie style right now and up to track 3.

Sadly, I think there were more Tool fans buying the Tool cd at midnight then PJ fans.

And there was this one girl who waited in line to get the new Jewel cd and got pissed when they gave her the Tool cd.

Btw, Tower is charging 18.99 for the disc. At midnight it was 9.99 so not a bad deal.

And one day when I don't have dial up I'll downlaod the album. I still have 2 2003 bootlegs to download too still. ;)

I was number 25 or so at Tower in Philadelphia ... lol

I walked by the store at 11 and saw two people in line and went a block away to Fado. Grabbed a few Sam Adams in honor of the Red Sox spanking of the Yankees and then went in line about 11:50. There were about 200 people or so total in the Philly line and I think most of them - at least those in the front of the line were getting the new Tool cd.

That place looks really cool. Hopefully they'll offer a boot of the show.

Congratulations to Joe too for going out for what he believes in and not getting mugged by those Tool fans. How dare they ride the coat tails of the better band on the better band's release date.

MC- sounds good.. I'll be there.

I was up to 2AM downloading from the 10C... who needs to go to a store and buy the CD at midnight :D And joe I agree about the whole typed lyrics. It's a hell of a lot better being able to clearly read them then trying to interpret Ed's handwriting...

Woman, 62, Fights $1,431 Cable Pern Bill
    By Associated Press
    Sat Apr 29, 6:29 AM

YONKERS, N.Y. - A 62-year-old retired schoolteacher is fighting with a cable company over a hefty bill for pern and gangsta rap programming she says she never ordered.

The charges of more than $1,000 appeared on Claudia Lee's February Cablevision bill, shortly after she bundled her cable TV, computer and phone services.

"They are harassing me and trying to make me pay for something I didn't do," said Lee, who lives alone.

She said she has been forced to pay $779 to the company and was told to pay $652 more or face having her services cut off.

"Every time I call, somebody tells me something different. They're not on the same page," she said Thursday.

Lee said the only regular visitor to her house is her 81-year-old mother, "and I don't think she wants to watch pern."

She thought that she was being sly by watching the pern at her daughter's house. That is one dirty old woman...$1,000 for pern? I'd hate to walk in on that session.

    The album got an A.

Pearl Jam back, of course, doing things their way
    By JONATHAN TAKIFF

It's "their way or the highway" for notable music acts offering new wares today.

Answering only to their own muse, Pearl Jam has taken almost four years to settle into a new recording deal and produce another studio album, though they've put out more than 70 authorized concert "bootlegs" in the interim!

Finally comes the self-titled "Pearl Jam" album for J Records (A), a Clive Davis-steered label usually hellbent on delivering radio-friendly hit singles.

So what has the band given them to "work?" How 'bout a string of bristling, bitter rants on moral decay, death, dismemberment, economic turmoil and the suppression of personal freedom, stoked with a dual-guitar-rocking, blood-'n'-guts-spilling approach.

Some songs are artfully obtuse, as only the band's growling, mush-mouthed singer/composer Eddie Vedder can be. (Who else would write about a "preternatural other flame, with the power to maintain," as he does in the gross-out "Severed Hand"?)

But at least we do get an illustrated booklet of lyrics to help decipher the Allen Ginsberg-like howls. And even without the study guide, it's pretty clear who's given the orders and who's deserving of blame on the likes of "World Wide Suicide," a fiery lament about war dead that's the first single from the set.

Yes, that tune kicked butt on Pearl Jam's "SNL" appearance and agitated a freaky murder scene in "CSI." And how cool is it that the group gave away hundreds of thousands of downloads of the song on their Web site?

So I'm thinking it doesn't really matter if some corporate rock radio stations have a problem playing this Bush whacker. Pearl Jam's playing their own game and winning on their own terms.

I have confirmation via vmail that POPEYE'S did open this morning at 10am to standing room only, and that the food was kicking.

Additionally, I just heard the fireworks and am pleased to announce that the Cincinnati Reds just won & swept the St. Louis Cardinals, solidifying first place.

Hey Joe - Thanks for Arroyo. Was he this good at Bah-ston?

Going to relisten to this song a few more times.

Love the Thanks again P.T. in the liner notes.

This song sounds like it would fit right in with Quadraphenia ... which is by far my favorite non-PJ album. Even the drums in the are very Keith Moonish.

    * Edit - Wasted Reprise is very, very Quadraphenish.

You got it. P.T. is Pete Townsend.

He also specifically didn't have anything to do with Gone, but without Pete and the Who and specifically Quadraphenia, Ed wouldn't have gone into music or become a song writer. He's often said that Pete was more of a father then any father I really knew. Seriously Gone, Life Wasted, and Wasted Reprise could fit right in musically and lyrically with Quadraphenia.

Also Fanch, Bronson wasn't as good in Beantown but as Schilling said two years ago he had the biggest balls on the team and has no fear. Bronson drilled Slappy McBlueLips (A-Rod as someone on the board calls him) sparking the fight that rallied the Red Sox season in 04. He had 3 good years in Boston and I'm happy he's doing well, but Boston needed another Domenican, Wily Mo, to keep Manny happy.

I think the reference to Pete and Gone could be because of the "if nothing is everything" line. I believe its from a Who song, as someone else on the board mentioned.

    Let's See Action
    by - The Who

Let's see action, let's see people,
Let's see freedom, let's see who cares,
Take me with you when you leave me
And my shell behind us there.

I have learned it, known who burned me,
    Avatar has warmed my feet,
Take me with you, let me see you,
    Time and life can meet.

Nothing is everything, everything is, nothing is,
    Please the people, audiences,
    Break the fences,
    Nothing is.

Let's see action, let's see people,
Let's see freedom up in the air,
Let's see action, let's see people,
Let's be free, let's see who cares.

Let's see action, let's see people,
Let's see freedom up in the air,
Let's see action, let's see people,
Let's be free, let's see who cares.

Give me a drink boy, wash my feet,
I'm so tired of running from my own heat,
Take this package and here's what you do,
    Gonna get this information through.

    I don't know where I'm going,
    I don't know what I need,
But I'll get to where I'm gonna end up,
    And that's alright by me.

Let's see action, let's see people,
Let's see freedom up the air,
Let's see action, let's see people,
Let's be free, let's see who cares.

Let's see action, let's see people,
Let's see freedom in the air,
