PJ20 Jeff Ament CD Giveaway.

This is the Jeff Ament CD that was given out in the packaged at Alpine! All you have to do is post the nicest thing that you have done for someone over the last month. It doesn't have to be Pearl Jam related. I will choose the winner in the next 5 days. Shipping of the disc is on me!

    my friend is very pregnant and I got her a maternal massage because she recently drove her car thru her office, unintentionally :-) Seemed like she needed some relaxation :-)

    I picked up a battery tender at Harbor Freight for a friend who's battery was dying in his weekend truck. He was hating the fact that he couldn't drive out to the boonies for some needed solitude. Problem solved and he's a happier person.

    I have been taking care of my Dad , he has A.L.S. ( lou gehrigs disease ) , a disease that makes u lose control and all of your limbs and eventually pass away . so now i am his arms and legs ,its a horrable disease ! If u want to donate to a good cause look into A.L.S

    let a pregnant woman in front of me in the bathroom line (about a 20 min wait) at Doheny Days in SoCal..... people were pissed to say the least. Oh well, get over it...... from what I hear having to pee while preggers can be a pain.

    I've spent the entire day up until this point tending to my fussy newborn, while there are a million things that need to be done in this house, and several personal things I'd rather do.

    The nicest thing I've done in the last month was taking a weekend off to move my Grandmother into her advanced care facility. The SECOND nicest thing I've done was taking a friend to PJ20 in Alpine Valley who couldn't get a ticket during either on-sale a desperately wanted to go.

    Last night I tried to jump start a car of a fellow commuter and when that didn't work, called AAA and "pretended" to be the driver of their car so they could take advantage of my AAA membership. When her boyfriend showed up to jump her car, I waited until they were successful before canceling the AAA call and going on my way.

    Thanks for the chance and it doesn't seem to compare to some of the others I've read.

    eddievedde wins. My thoughts are with you and your family. My wife and I took care of her father with lung cancer in our home for a year and a half until he passed away, so I understand how hard it can be. Remember to take time for yourself too.

    I spreaded the Jam! I took a friend to see PJ live for the first time in Ottawa (6th row in front of Mike) and brought a DVD full of PJ stuff (including unofficial old footage...) to a PJ friend I only meet at shows every few years in MTL.

    I proposed to my girlfriend of 4+ years in front of Buckingham Fountain in Chicago two weeks ago. I, without her knowing got her the ring she absolutely wanted after a clever ruse of telling her I would be unable to ever get something that nice. We are both pretty frugal, so I just had to save up a little longer than I had planned. By reading this you are probably thinking she had to have some frivolous ring, but in fact it was just the opposite. She mentioned that she really liked the ring, but would be fine with anything I got her, even if it was a $99 ring from Wal-Mart. Boy, was she surprised when I got down on my knee and she said, "Oh my God, is that my ring? YESSSS, I will marry you." She is simply amazing.
    I don't know if this is counts in this contest, but I thought it was pretty nice, even if it is me who benefits as well. Best decision I have ever made in my life.

    I started a program at my kid's school, which I am in charge of, to help people in our community that could use a little assistance. So far we are collecting can goods in leu of admission price to school events to stock the pantries at our soup kitchen. We are making Thanksgiving baskets for those who can't afford Thanksgiving dinner. We are "adopting" families from our community for Christmas to ensure that they have a nice holiday. A magic show is being held for pediatric cancer patients. Christmas caroling for the elderly folks at the Veteran's home...and that only brings us to December! Everybody should make it a point to help someone in need, and this committee was started to get our children involved and see that there are many people out there that need help and we as human beings should have compassion for others. I think that is getting lost these days, especially in America, we need to stop always worring about ourselves and stop being so self absorbed.

    Give it to his guy. Taking care of sick family is a tough selfless act. He deserves it...

    A fellow jammer on 10c managed to hook me up with the Q magazine with Eddie Vedder on the cover and have arranged to get it sent out to a friend in Italy who's a huge PJ fan. Her birthday just so happens to be this Monday so she should get it in time.
