Is 3.5 too young?

last tour--they were 7 and 9 yrs. My 7 yr. old was down in front with me(10c. seats) and he was sleeping toward the middle of the show(but he goes to bed early on his own anyway), until I woke him for the encores. I'd say wait until your kids are at least 7 to 10."The answers are fatal..."

My daughter is going to be 26 this year. But when she was little, I did take her to a few shows, but at different kind of venues. I didnt take her to an arena show till she was like 13. When they are toddlers, so many bad things can happen to them. She can get stepped on, pushed, spilled on, and it would all be accidental. I wouldnt take the chance yet. She would most likely be scared. Wait a few years. When she is a teenager, and you can go together with her, it will be a bonding thing that will be great. Enjoy this time with her, it goes so fast. I know everyone says that stuff, but its true. My daughter lives about 1500 miles away from me know, and it is hell. I am happy for her and happy for my new found 'freedom', but I cherish those memories when she was my little pumpkin lovebug. Good luck. Love & Peace, RoseCleveland, 2000

My son sang PJ songs when he was three (Not for You and Alive were his favorites). But I would never take a kid that young to loud rock show.
He's now seen three shows (MSG 03 and NJ 06) but he's 14.
I think 10 or 11 is about the right age."there's a lot to be said for nowhere...."

$4 hot dogs?!
What is wrong with some people, exposing a child to such ...autrosities?
I can only hope that that child recovered...0 -
I wouldn't take the child at that age. 9 or 10 years old, I could see it.

3.5 year olds can barely sit through a 30 min cartoon. Besides you'll be catering to the kid the whole time instead of enjoying the show (i.e. bathroom breaks, temper tantrums, beer being spilled on the kid, etc.). I'm thinking, if you are asking on here, you don't think it's that great of an idea either.
In short...it's bad enough dealing with drunks.0 -

I would flat out refuse to babysit. It's only your nephew and you probably didn't force your sister/brother to have a baby ^^

I started this thread over 5 years ago, and my 3 and half year old is now 8 and a half and will be going to her first concert at the Sept. 17th Winnipeg show. I'm so excited that her first show will be Pearl Jam and not some fad (justin bieber, katy perry, myley cyrus etc...). I really can't believe this thread is still going!Gimli 1993
