I love this song , one of my favorite PJ songs. I see it wasn't played at either PJ20 show. Also, never really see it pop upon people's favorites list. How come not more love for this song??

I love this song too. I love every time they play it live.

Im with the majority here and think the studio version is great but live it isn't that good.
Well actually it was great live in 2006 when it came out but now it sounds like crap TBH. It sounds rushed now, Eddies voice sounds pretty bad on it, and that down tuning of the Avocado songs sounds horrendous. Comatose and WWS especially.
its in my top ten along with come back, life wasted and severed hand.............guess what my favorite album is
I love self titled too.

Avocado ranked pretty low on the 'most awesome PJ discs' for me personally...but they all are pretty awesome.
I go through periods where I love the song and when I just like it.

ouch, I must say I strongly and respectfully disagree with you
I don't know. I didn't love it at first, I didn't think it was very interesting musically, but I didn't dislike it. But I got burned out on it pretty quick because it was sort of over-played. They played it on SNL, on the Letterman Webcast, on the AOL sessions, VH1 Storytellers, Immagine In Cornice, and who knows how many bootlegs. I mean, between April of '06 and July of '10 (when they last played it), a span of roughly 4 years they played it 102 times. That's quite a bit. They've only played Garden 127 times and Oceans 68 times in 20 years.

I do agree that the 06 boots frustrate me because they all have severed hand, WWS, corduroy, and DTE, love all the songs just think it gets boring always knowing whats coming, and I also agree that it's not very creative musically but Eds lyrics and how he sings them are killer

I fucking love this song.

Me too, I jump out of my skin every time i hear this song.
not a fan of this song, don't care for the chorus, sounds pretty sloppy live
sorry, I can live without WWS and Comatose live

I'd like to hear it in concert, since I haven't had the chance yet. IMO, it fits well in the song 2-5 slot that usually has some rockers like Severed Hand, Amimal, Hail Hail, Go, etc. Maybe towards the end of the show it could be a bit of a let down in terms of what could have been...
I dig this song. It was one of the tunes that got me into the avocado album. Its an album that took time for me to get into, but now for sure a top favorite. I actually got the album from my science teacher for free. She said she didn't like it and asked if i'd take it and of course I had to. But as far as WWS live, it absolutely kicked ass in KC last May. It followed of the girl and animal and raised the energy level even more.

I love to see love for that album....it's in my top 3 for sure...sometimes it can go to #2! It's a great way to listen to while I'm waking up and heading to school!!!!

Great song. Since it's release I've got a 100% record seeing it live - 5 out of 5.
I don't think it'll get dropped but maybe there's other stuff the band want to play at the minute. That said, it'll make an appearance or two in Canada.

See...I love this song. The whole album really, but to be honest...I really do love each of their albums. Sure...some I prefer over others, but this was one of my fav songs off of Avocado and I think both versions...live and studio F'N ROCKS!!!
Two observations about the song:
1.) When I first heard it back in 06, I remember thinking it sounded like two diff songs put together. I'm fairly certain there's interview out there confirming that. Regardless...I still love it.
2.) I like it when the band plays it in the original key when played live, but...that applies to all of their songs. Some don't suffer as badly as others when tuned down, but some do. I think WWS falls into the later. It still rocks, but not so much as it does in the original key.
