It amazes me that people are complaining about song selection, and TOTD both nights. Clearly these people are not diehard fans. Honsetly, what more could you ask of this band. My belief is that anybody who posts a complaint regarding set list song selection should have their 10club membership revoked. Leave the extra tickets to the real fans who appreciate anything and everything they do for us. Remember this weekend was to celebrate their 20 year history. There was history prior to Ten coming out.

i have not posted any complaints---- and i am a die hard fan-- ive been to over 75 shows--
i am not complaining but was disappointed when i saw cornells name on the night 2 poster.. When he came out and did hunger strike i was hoping that was it...

anyway just my opinion not a complaint--

:lol: you posted this at the same time i posted mine...funny shit.
  • everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
  • I wasn't there but it definitely seemed like way too much Cornell.

But it is what it is, you're lucky to have been there period.
Don't come closer or I'll have to go

You know, I'm really glad Cornell was there and I loved him night 1.

If it were my decision though...I wouldn't have had him come out night 2 except for the last song to help party like everyone else. Actually, if it were 100% up to me and I could have picked whatever I wanted, I would have had Neil Young come out night 2 and do Act of Love, Downtown, maybe another Mirrorball song and Fuckin up instead of Cornell v.2.

But hey, if you are going to complain about getting to see Chris Cornell come out and play TotD stuff live with the band, well, then you are really just trying to find something to complain about, no?

Look I personally was not crazy about the night 1 setlist. But that is just my opinion. These guys have what, 9 studio albums, plus all the other stuff from lost dogs and endless covers. There is NO WAY in hell they can play everything and play everyones favorite songs. Sure there are other songs I would like to hear, but they played 60 different songs over 2 nights. What more could anyone ask for?? And for me, night 2 rocked !! Temple Reunion was also a HUGE highlight for me. Look without all the stuff that happened prior, Andrew Woods death, etc, there would be no pearl jam. Temple of the Dog is an amazing album and Chris Cornell was on his game this weekend. I will never forget that and enjoyed every minute of it.

What's your belief on people who post complaints about complaints... because in reality, they are all opinions. Who's to say one's is better than another's?

Whomever the band chose to have onstage is fine with me. Would have loved to have seen Wooden Jesus as opposed to Reach Down re-do.

Gotta remember that this was PJ's celebration, right? So whatever they wanted to do that made it special for them in turn makes it more special for their fans. I guarantee that these shows will be in the band's memory for all time and probably at or near the top of their list for shows played...that has to mean something for the fans that got to be there for it.

    This.

I wonder if Cornell hadn't messed up Night 1 if they would have either played a different song or done 1 more PJ song. Kinda weird to have any repeats on these nights, but Hunger Strike makes some sense.

anyone take a moment to hear the state of Wisconsin's complaints? I mean Crazy Breed and Speedy in the same place? There goes their local economy....just ask Philly.....it still hasn't recovered from The Spectrum shows with those 2 being there at the same time

  • I could stomach Cornell night 1 even though it was 2 or 3 songs too many. However, it took the air out the show an Sunday for a while.

There was no reason he had to play 4 songs on Sunday.

  • Here are my PJ20 weekend complaints:

    1. We were told we could bring up to 1 gallon of water into the venue. I purchased water bottles and had them in my backpack. When security checked my bag, they said I had to throw away the tops to the water bottles. That was disappointing because I ended up throwing away all but two of my water bottles.

    2. Trying to leave the parking lot after the show. Not really a complaint, it just sucked!

Night 1 the Band lost me after 3-5 songs...
The sound was just horrible where I was seated....
The setlist wasnt my cup of tea....
    Something wasnt right.....
Then Cornell took over the stage....

I walked out of there just stunned at how much of a dissapointment it was...FOR ME...

Night 2 I sang and danced with friends all night long......Had a fucking BLAST!!!!
    Take me piece by piece.....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
  • No complaints about either show from me, i'm just surprised and thankful nobody was seriously hurt walking up and down that pathetic place (Yes, i think Alpine Valley is terrible, but it will never take away the great memories)

I thought the sound was better from the lawn as well. I couldn't hear Ed that well in the reserved area.

I had a feeling that one of the nights was going to be a rarities and one would be the hits so I was ok with it. I was just surprised they didn't play every song off of Ten at some point during the weekend.

Membership revoked...not real fans? Are you for real or just trying to play the idiot card today?
