    My first MMJ experience didn't go exactly as I had hoped last night in Charlotte. A storm that came through right before they were going to go on delayed the start by about 45 minutes and there was a strict noise ordinance/curfew at 11:00. So not only did we miss out on a bunch of songs, there was no Neko duet which was the main reason I opted for Charlotte (3 1/2 hours away) instead of Charlottesville (1 hour away) since she's not opening Charlottesville. The show was still phenomenal, but I can't help but have a slight feeling of disappointment.

    I know I will have chances to see them again but the Neko opportunity will probably never happen again other than tomorrow night in Philly.

    Oh well.

    Yes. The best I can describe it is that it was a hand with a keyhole in the middle of it. Not bad but not great either. I can try taking a picture later on if it doesn't show up anywhere else.

    yea, I heard about that...really sucks. But I did hear that they still put on a high energy set. Well it can only get better next time right?

    This just proves that everyone has an ear for different music. I kind of brushed them off when I first heard them years ago. It wasnt until after Bonnaroo in 08 that I became hooked. I truly hope that you'll "get it" eventually...They have surpassed PJ as my favorite band and that is saying a lot.

    oh, I agree! He lives down in south Florida and we just didn't get around to it when I went down to visit. He will be coming up for a few FSU home football games this season, so you better bet that I will make sure that he's going to bring it up with him the first game he attends 8-)

    Everything seems fine. My gf lives in VA- she said it was scary but that her and her family are fine.

    And I will stop complaining about an NYC show now that I can make it tomorrow lol.

    Sometimes its tough to get into a band. I would recommend seeing them live because even Okonokos (even though it is an amazing live album) doesn't do their talent true justice.

    They are definitely different from Pearl Jam in terms of sound, but are incredibly talented. For me they kind of bridge the two bands I have listened to the most in my life. Pearl Jam and Phish.
