"PLEASE" PJ20 Screening in JAKARTA, INDONESIA

Dear Pearl Jam and 10c,
Thousands of devoted Pearl Jam fans in Indonesia is waiting to communally experience watching PJ20 movie on big screen theater in Jakarta, or other city in Indonesia. Yesterday, http://www.pj20.com/screenings/ announce that Singapore is added to the the list, but why not Indonesia? Our country has the largest population in South East Asia, and I can guarantee that we have more PJ fans here then our neighboring Singapore. Of course some of us can travel to singapore to see the movie, but traveling abroad is very expensive for us most Indonesian as Singapore is one of the most expensive city in South East Asia.
So, please arrange a PJ20 screening in Indonesia. pearl jam indonesia fans (PJ.id) will support anything possible to make this happens (theater booking, venue, cities, tickets...etc...)...its okay to wait for PJ to play A show in Indonesia for 20 years, but a movie screening? c'mon...make this happen
so, please please please....

To all 10clubbers, your constructive advice and opinion is appreciated...

    I'm sooo with this thread. I don't understand why Singapore has the privilege to run 4 screenings while the attendants will mostly come from Indonesia. Indonesia maybe has the biggest Pearl Jam fanbase in Asia.

    Yeah! We've been waiting for 20 years now. And I can tell you that the waiting drove us mad :D
    Please be kind and let us Indonesian have our PJ20 screening. In Jakarta, at least. I'm very sure that thousands of PJ fans in Jakarta will love to watch this magnificent movie by Cameron Crow
    For PJ to play Indonesia, we will wait forever. Please think of the PJ20 screening in Indonesia (or Jakarta) as a gift of hope from PJ to us, your not yet visited fans. Thx!

    hem... i dont know why? maybe 10c management think our theaters in Indonesia isnt good enough? so we are not apropriate seeing pjtwenty? huh :x
    but actually we have many good quality theater like XXI Cineplex and Mega Blitz.
    goshhhh! i think Pearl Jam not SUPER-EXCLUSIVE PEOPLE. but why its so hard see those guys only in Theater????

    i know there are reasons. but we are so dumb and easy to admit this for many years!
    for 10c: please check it up on internet: the music activities and antusiams of Pearl Jam Fans in Indonesia, at least in Capital City - Jakarta. i am tired to explain this :)

    haha chil out awang, i dont think PJ or 10c is not aware of our situation, they just has not been fed with enough information about pj scene in indonesia. That's why we make countless trade in this forum in the past few years to get their attention...so keep patience and dont get tired 8-) the time will come...if its not for pj20, there always chance for PJ3- or even PJ50 :D

    we just want to have the movie in Indonesia, while waiting the real band to come.

    20 years without a single concert in Indonesia, and now Pearl Jam si leaving us, Indonesian fans, with no PJ20 movie screening at all! What a disappointment, if you ask me.

    Right at this moment, some friends of mine, fellows Pearl Jam Indonesia community members, are looking to get in touch with every possible contact person that can bring us a miracle in these desperate years: PJ20 movie screening in Indonesia!

    We contacted all local theatres, asking if they are going to play PJ20 movie sometimes next September. The answers? All the same: they are not.

    Thanks to Hilman Taofani, now we already in contact with Village Cinemas and Vinyl Films as the distributor and producer of PJ20 movie. Village Cinemas told us that they have no jurisdiction to play PJ20 movie in Indonesia. Hopefully Vinyl Films will give us a much more promising answer. God only knows.

    The thing is, maybe for you to consider Mr. Eddie, that it will only take a slight easy painless breath for you to ask your movie distributor to play PJ20 movie in Indonesia, and it will mean a lot to us, your Indonesian fans. It will mean a life to us!

    But, so you know, we still love you guys no matter what business decision you make, and we will wait, even if it will take forever, for you to finally come and play Indonesia. Live long and prosper, Pearl Jam! :)

    The truth is only so many prints of the film are pressed.

    Let's say 100 for argument sake. So... First weekend 100 cities get the premiere...etc...

    After that the films will be sent to other cities.

    PJ or whoever ddistributes the film don't ignore areas. They only have so many films.

    Will there be a showing 3-4 weeks later in Indonesia?? I'd guess some phone calls and emails asking would be a good start.

    Beyond that... Watching the DVD with directors extras isn't all bad.

    For once we would like to celebrate this happening event with the rest of the world. We're not even getting any concert before, and we started to think that a single screening is okay to redeem.

    I guess the waiting drove us mad.

    Anyway, we're working on it too. Already some phone calls and emails are thrown (incl Vinyl Films). Hopefully there are ways to get there.

    Plea for concert maybe too much, but if plea fot single screening count that much...well.

    And from what I hear, movie about music/band is never a box office. Money wise, maybe it's a high risk action to throw PJ20 movie to our country. But, sometime bold and crazy action bring you something good, right? :lol:

    the PJ20 movie, the person in 10c management, the Band, or even Eddi Vedder come alone to Indonesia.

    I am selfish and want Hong Kong too. It is weird how Singapore got 4 showing and (so far) Hong Kong none and none anywhere else in SE Asia.

    SE Asia is forgotten by PJ since 95. :( and never been to HK

    But I won't mind with PJ20 Screening as appetizer.

    I feel you bro. It would be more than good to have PJ20 Movie played in our country, right? Let alone PJ concert. God!

    a love letter to pearl jam

    i understand if you are not ready (yet) to play in Indonesia. i understand that could be because of many factors: economics, financials, politics, security, and else.
    we, the fans in Indonesia, understand that.
    “it’s ok”, “the kids are alright”…:)

    BUT

    what we could not accept is if Indonesia is not a part of PJ20 screening event. That is just unacceptable, especially since there are 4 screenings in Singapore. The fans base in Indonesia is waaayy much bigger than Singapore…:)
    on behalf of the fans in Indonesia, I want the band, the management & 10c management, to know that Indonesia is ready.

    Some of us here have been contacting Vinyl Records and local importer/distributor and cinema networks. We are building options of screening events here, even not knowing (yet) whether we can get a copy.

    In short, Indonesia is ready.
