    A-That school starts in 3 weeks!!!
    B- That my son will be in 1st grade!!!

    It's all so surreal....I remember him being in my arms and rocking him now it's school.

    it is a weird feeling. I don't have kids but i have alot of nieces and nephews and its so strange how fast they grow up. one of my nieces is 12 years old and is almost as tall as me (6 foot)

    I read an article about bullying recently ... the epidemic ... it's scary.

    When I was a kid there was little of that.

    The article said it was a learned behavior but also peer pressure, the need to fit in
    and also the need to control a situation.

    Makes sense to me but how to cure the bullies ? Before more get hurt.

    It said education and awareness while children are growing so they learn the golden rule.

    More love and acceptance in the home too.

    It's weird that you mention height...I had gone to my grandparents 61st wedding anniversary get together yesterday and a cousin is taller than me and she is only freaking 11!!! Now granted I"m only 5'3 1/2" (yes the half inch matters :lol:) but come on! Talk about weird! :lol:

    Bullying does seem to be more prevalent these days. It is very sad, and well scary really. You don't even have to look to schools to see it. I have seen it on here.

    and these riots, this aggression, this destruction of homes and buildings and businesses and shops and now apparently children's hospitals

    has nothing to do with the shooting of that boy

    it's just stupid and awful and innocent people are getting harmed - watching a woman on the news, she barely escaped her flat before they burnt it down to the ground and her home has gone, completely destroyed as well as all her belongings.

    why? she did nothing.
