I got the IKEA catalog in the mail today. My first thought was... I could throw this away before my wife gets home and she would never have known that it came.

An IKEA catalog one month before we go to PJ20? That just doesn't sound safe to me.

I think my husband does this very thing ya know...

I work there and we had a launch party for 2 weeks ago...
Still haven't looked through the catalogue yet but they were going over how much some of the products were worth for the company in Canadian sales... LIke the smallest RIBBA frame... it profits millions its nuts!

Every single room in our house has IKEA in it. Seriously. We heart Ikea. We make a day trip out of it and have lunch and everything. One of the reasons is that it is inexpensive. And we do find it fun to put stuff together. No loss if things get ruined either.
Oh, except our couch. It's a Berkline and we heart it!
this is one of their main focuses... to make it more than a shopping trip but also a day trip. you can eat, drop your kids at smaland, shop, whatever.. and it works! i mean i've gone to ikea so many times just out of boredom...

I like the Elizabeth NJ one. If I'm going though, I try to go in right when it opens, on a weekday - much saner, and if you go in when you're fresh, you don't feel as exhausted by the time you're buying your stuff. Evening isn't too bad either. 2pm on Saturday? You're taking your life in your own hands.

It is creative stuff that people have done WITH Ikea components - there are tons of great ideas and pictures on it.

    Very cool!!!

I am waiting for ours to arrive...shouldn't be long though! Although I have just reorganised my sons room with a couple of shopping trips to Ikea in last 2 weeks. He is stoked. And I am happy that I can find everything in his room again without having to use a gps tracker!

    i love the catalog
but i never order anything from it or buy anything at the store
    problem is
everything from IKEA has to be "assembled"
and in my language assembled spells "fail"

 You need a helper like my son. He loves to build stuff so we put shelves and desks together as a team. I love it!

I LOVE ikea...except the only one we have is in Kent...and well, Kent is a terrible neighborhood, and going there on a weekend is worse than going to Wal Mart on Black Friday.

they were tearing down the high school near where I live, and one of the rumors was that they were building an ikea there...I was so excited!

then they confirmed that Costco was going in...I almost cried...that city already has a Costco 20 minutes down the street.

I have already folded down the pages of stuff I want in the current catalog....

...and why when people come to my house ask "where did you get those cool storage units?" and when I say "ikea" their faces fall and they give me a dirty look?
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

 I hate putting stuff together, and I'm usually not very good at it, but Ikea stuff is usually pretty easy.

you have to sign up for these now? bummer! .....on second thought....there is this new-fangled catalogue thingy...they call it a website, and it works pretty well too ;)

I need to go to an Ikea soon...sucks how few of them they build - the one here is on the FAAAAR side of the city...I'm always shocked to see there is only 1 or 2 stores in a massive metro area....actually, I'm surprised we even have one, knowing that...
