We have everything A-Z except Metal, Blues and Country. We're seriously considering changing the WHOLE shop to A-Z. Bands that we think aren't Metal and are Rock are classed as Metal etc...it's fucking confusing. And people don't know where to look for certain bands -- some think Tool is in A-Z, others think Tool is Metal. ARGGH!!! A-Z just seems so much easier...and if it doesn't work, I suppose we can split them all up again.

Thoughts? What would you prefer?

I think A-Z, give the country a miss too:D

Fuck customers i say, just to mess with them i'd order them in some really fucked up way so no one can find anything, like order them in order of their barcode numbers or something like that.

But then i guess if people can't find what they want, they can't buy the CD, which means they don't spend any money at your store, then you don't make any money, then you can't pay the bills, then you lose the store, then you can't afford to eat, and the bank takes your house, then you have to live in the gutter and you become a crazy homeless type person who throws cats at passer-bys.

personally, i like categorised A to Z. Thats only so I dont have to sift through all the crap I dont like just to find the band i do. then at least you have all the certain types in one area...but A to Z is way easier for you guys. You should give whatever you have going a try...if it doesnt work out, then try something different, moving the shop around every so often gives both yourselves and the customers a new feel to the store, and you might find you sell more becuase people think you have more, or new stuff they havent seen before.

Im so stoked for you guys Sus. Empire Records is such a great name .....

Yeah I'd rather buy movie DVD's or music really. Box sets can be saved for special days like xmas. Have to catch up on my Seinfeld seasons though.
