    do you mean, raise taxes and all the extra revenue does directly towards the debt? or that this revenue will go to closing the deficits?

    either way I am inclined to say no I would not support it. But I am more inclined to support income tax reform if the additional revenues could only be spent on paying down the debt

    why do we have to raise tax's at all why couldn't we make cuts at the levels where the money is mis-spent ?
    we didn't get into this mess overnight so why do these people think they can fix it over night with higher tax's ?

    there is much money spent (billions) on thing's that we can do with out for a while
    or indefinitely for that matter.

    cuts are needed but savings billions wont help cut into trillions of debt, ergo, tax the rich...no?

    Taxing the Monopoly Man will solve all our problems! Who-hoo!

    Can't wait to see who they decide to tax next because the Monopoly Man couldn't cover the tab and they can't cut spending .... but who cares about tomorrow?

    Until they decide "the rich" means you.

    But, it's true. Rich people need to be punished for making so much money. That'll show 'em!

    Well, I want to see spending and budgets significantly reduced first. An act of good faith, as we call it. That happens, then tax away!

    But, my gut says spending will not be significantly reduced so I would rather keep my hard-earned money for now. It's tough enough to scrape by the way it is.

    i'm sorry, they cost 300 billion a year. that will help along with budget cuts.
