    The way I see it, if it is that difficult to get out of the venue each night....then just chill, break out some snacks, sit in some lawn chairs, and just listen to your stereo as you stare up at the stars for an hour or so. :D

    VIP enters the same way everyone else does and parks up front, but it has a separate exit from the venue. It is definitely worth the $30 per day. I made the mistake last year of only getting VIP parking for 1 DMB alpine show last year, I will NEVER do that again... VIP is the way to go IMO

    Was the GREEN lot open for dmb? When green is not used, that half mile roadway to the green lot becomes a second exit. Otherwise as I recall, vip goes out the same way as everyone else.

    The Green lot WAS open (has been every show I've ever attended and parked in VIP/Premier). the exit from VIP takes you thru the road that people walk towards the Green Lot. If you leave the venue early, you can get out IMMEDIATELY. Otherwise, you must wait about 30 minutes after the show for the walkway/road to clear of fans walking, THEN you get to exit this way.

    It says online that the Country Inn is about 3 miles away, anyone know if it's walkable, meaning a pretty straight shot that's not on an expressway (obviously cos you aren't allowed to walk there..)?

    If that's true, I'm glad I decided to purchase mine when I did. It's the one lone smart move I've made since this whole PJ20 debacle began. Hahaha.

    Never been to AV before, but the lots in Camden/Philly are terrible letting out after shows. We NEVER just hop in the car and go. Chill out for an hour then it's smooth sailing. :)

    I was thinking the same thing as I am staying there as well. But a couple of locals have told me that it WILL NOT be an easy walk...country roads, no streetlights/sidewalks. I am still considering it...but it'd be nice if the Country Inn organized a shuttle or if people staying there w/o the travel package can get on the travel package shuttle for a price.

    eh, I walk 3 miles every night thru rocky terrain and un-lit areas..no biggie..
    Maybe we can get together, get a couple others to join us, and all walk it in a group..at least it'd be safer..I got a pack of 8 flashlights I can bring LoL

    I'm just letting you know now. If you don't have VIP parking it may take you at least 2 and 1/2 hours to get out of the venue, if your heading toward Lake Geneva it could be longer. Alpine Valley is by far the worst venue to get out of. Good Luck!

    Thanks for the info.

    My wife and I will be arriving late on Saturday. Our flight lands in MKE at 2:40 pm, (if they dont back it up again...) I dont know yet if I should stop in New Berlin to check in at our room, or hustle our asses down to the show... We have reserved on Saturday too, so we are hoping this all falls into place with the help you locals are providing! Thanks for all your tips.

    Any routes we NEED to avoid enroute? I dont even know if the rental will have GPS yet... :?:

    as others have said, post tailgate party will be raging. other option is to walk over to AV resort and drink at the bar w/red mosquito and 50 other PJ fans. worst option is to get in car and be pissed off for 1-2+ hours waiting it out to get home.

    if post partying is not your deal, best bet is to park outside of av on private lot as supposedly these willl pop up and provide an easier exit, just a longer haul in/out of venue...

    Yes and I believe they will direct you to the left instead of the right where everyone else will be. GPS maybe handy at that point.
