The good thing is cause brissie ain't the 1st show like last tour we'll know the run down by then of like what time everyone gets on stage and when merch opens all that shit

    Ohhh, good point!

Did posters sell out last tour? Do they sell a set number on night 1 and sell a set number of night 2? Or do yuo think I should buy my niece's poster on night 1 just in case?

And i don't think you'll have much trouble with posters, they never seem to be in as much demand here compaired to the U.S.

Tig's work has asked her to go to Baltimore for a month or something....so she won't be in Australia for the PJ tour. :(

That's terrible ... poor Trudie. I'm never going to the Sydney Hard Rock Cafe ever again... not that I ever do much anyway, because the food sucks and it's too touristy. What exactly are they sending her overseas for though?

  • ok...i'll give you guys the low down

I have worked for the Hard Rock for about 5 and a half years. I have been an Operations Manager for about 2 and a half years and also the Retail Manager. Basically running the place alongside another Manager as we had no GM for around 3 years.

In March it was taken over by Hard Rock Cafe International, which meant nothing but great things for us as the Franchise Owner ran it into the ground...didnt pay bills and gave is the worst name on the Gold Coast.

So since then I have been sent to Bali, which you all know about.
It was a one week conference with 65 other Hard Rockers from all over Asia. There we learnt a shitload about the company and its vision for the future, all sorts of great stuff.

Now they are sending myself and the other Manager Lisa to Baltimore to undergo different types of training within the business that we have never learned. Basically, we are there for 7 weeks to learn from other Hard Rockers all the things we have never been taught, with the business changing hands, all new protocols are in place, and we need to know all this in order for the business to succeed and to remain true to the Hard Rock Culture, Standards and Mottos.

For those of us who live in this small country called Aus, a little info on the Hard Rock.

It is a Massive Company which has around 150 Cafes, 6 Hotels and 3 Casinos. alot of People around the world develop a passion for the place. It really is quite hard to explain....but some people devote their lives to the Culture and uniqueness of the Hard Rock Brand.....its quite fascinating and eerie at the same time. It first opened in 1971 in London and has been growing ever since. The Hard Rock has many Values and Mottos and Standards which ensures it stays high at the top of the popular list. For this popularity to live, the company invests a shitload of time and money teaching their staff, of all levels, the way to do things right. They are investing $22,000 US just on myself and Lisa to go.

So Lisa and I are going to Baltimore.....the place might fall apart when we are gone......at least some of it anyway......we shall see....
he who forgets will be destined to remember
