The only thing left for you to do is talk to Tim directly. I feel this could be a good subject for your first call to the All Encompassing Trip show ;)

I would, but right now probably isn't the best time. It would probably come across as whining to a lot of people.

I may at some point. I've pm'd him about my concern before about it and that I'd like to talk to him but I never got a reply back. Maybe during a lull or down moment I will try again. I know I have a really good number, but it should be better. We'll see. At the moment I think its probably better not to complain about things after all that has been going on.

They never told me it had lapsed. That would however be easier to handle, that's for sure. They just told me that it fits with my join date, which of course it really doesn't.

  • Everytime I read a thread like this I pause and thank God I am not the only one!

I too had a great number....let it lapse for no other reason that I had forget when it was going to expire. Then after I learned it did I opted not to renew for a while (silly me!) When I finally came to my senses and renewed I ended up with a 404XXX.

Moral.........Pearl Jam rules and PJ20 is gonna be awesome!

member since late 92. Talked to 10 Club rep after a 1998 change of address debacle and they said, bless them, that if i knew and they could verify my college mailbox number i could maybe get my old number back, I couldn't remember it at all but they tried to help me and then they said that because their old records had just been updated to a new system that the old mailing records were destroyed. So now my number is circa 1998 instead of 1992ish. I may sound spoiled but It still kinda hurts everytime, but not as bad as getting to the 10 club window in columbia to find out that no tickets were in my name and someone else had signed them out.....be careful folks, i still don't know how that happened but someone got them and they showed me the envelope with my name signed right there, not my signature. heartbreaking.

I sometimes feel like the 1 just shouldn't be there and that it should be 64xxx. I asked them once if someone has that number and they said that no one has that number.

I definitely don't think your number was 64,xxx. If you joined in 1992 your number would be in the 20,000 range. So that myth of the extra number 1 is busted!

Its funny but I wish I knew my original number, I first joined in 95 and then let it lapse in 97. Joined again in 99 and have a 188XXX number. Not fussed but I think it would be interesting to know!

  • I think that the member number debate and those of us who are kicking ourselves for letting ours lapse would end if Ten C would just update the numbers. If they would, we would all know where we stand and I think we would be a lot happier. I'm not sure how many actual Ten C members there are, but I would guess that nobody would have a number higher than 200,000 if they would do this.

You would have been between 78000 and 90000 most likely. if you joined in late 95 it could have been well in to the 100,000s though (like 120000) i think.

ditto to what everyone else said.
there once was a day when 10c was SUPER lenient about lapsed memberships.
    those days are (seemingly) gone.
now ... i'm not saying the club has never been known to give selective preferential treatment to those they know &\or like, but your chances are probably slim.

I never said it should be. I know the ranges of numbers.

Dude... you said it 10 times alone in this thread not to mention every other thread you post in related to 10 club numbers.

    Witness:
The only thing I ever got upset was when they told me no one had a member number under 100xxx when I said that maybe 64xxx may be my actual number when they said no one had it.
I sometimes feel like the 1 just shouldn't be there and that it should be 64xxx. I asked them once if someone has that number and they said that no one has that number.
I swear they just added a 1 to the front of some peoples numbers but there is nothing I can do about it. I also asked if my number without the one exists(64xxx) and they said no one has that number. I have a feeling I should.

Nope, never let it lapse. It baffles me to this day. I always thought the 1 in front was added by mistake because I asked if a number 64xxx exists and they said they have no one with that number.
I even said "you have to have a payment record of sending me every X-Mas record since 1992. I always thought maybe my number was actually 64xxx and somehow a 1 got added.

Now I'm curious if there is anyone on here that still has their number from the Love Bone Fan Club turnover.
