Out of curiousity, do you have an ODD or EVEN last number? I'm curious if they are skipping numbers in a predictable manner, so if they need to skoot a friend/family/staff-family/etc up in numbers that they have the option. ...because I just don't see almost half-a-million people signing up as a fan club member (even if they're not active currently).

My last digit is an odd number. Yours?
ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you. :)

    Mine is odd.

I let mine lapse in 2003 I think it was - but it's never really troubled me because every show I have been to (Europe) has been GA. Never been in a 10C seat.

    Mine is odd.

Mine is an even number. I joined in 1992 and never lapsed yet still have a 164xxx. I don't know how that happened but there isn't anything that can be done about it. Believe me I've tried.

Does sound a bit strange. Mine is 190xxx and I rejoined in 2004 I think - although my mind is pretty hazy from this period! Hopefully my number will still be good enough to get a half decent seat when I do eventually go for 10C seats (it's bound to happen sometime!)

Edit - thinking about this - there is a slight possibility I kept my number I think - I'm not good at this side of things, I don't know what I am talking about! What kind of numbers do people have from the 99 / 2000 join up period?

It baffles me on a daily basis, especially when my wife joined 6 years later in 1998 and has a 179xxx. I sometimes feel like the 1 just shouldn't be there and that it should be 64xxx. I asked them once if someone has that number and they said that no one has that number.

Hey RM22 - you know about stuff like this. Would you say my 190xxx number would correspond to a 2003 / 2004 join, or a 1999 / 2000 join? Thanks!

I would definitely say much closer to the 1999/2000 era. My wife joined in 1998 and is 179xxx.

That's cool!!! :D I know nothing about the numbers but was looking at your other thread yesterday and wondering if my membership number never actually lapsed at all. That's good news - Maybe I renewed within the grace period. I've never paid too much attention to it, because no show I have attended has had seniority seating - Europe seems to go with the 10Club wristband and early entry into the venue.

I think the 10 Club wishes I didn't know so much about it too. hahahahahaha They probably hate when they see an email from me. Maybe one day they will cave and dig deeper into it for me. I can only hope so. All I want is the 1 dropped off.

They know I love them though. I am always polite, even the time they called.

The only thing I ever got upset was when they told me no one had a member number under 100xxx when I said that maybe 64xxx may be my actual number when they said no one had it.

  • i found my ORIGINAL 10c number last week and i could have fucking cried... i joined in 95' and my number back then was 131xxx... Let it lapse in 03' when i had my 1st kid... i e-mailed 10c about trying to get my original number back.. but i guess i left it too long and when i rejoined a while back i got stuck with a shitty ass 409xxx number.... :(:(:(

Got me pretty decent seats to EV this past March.. but apart from that it doesn't do me much good...

Soooo wish i still had my ORIGINAL Number... Oh how i Sooooo wish.......

    I can so relate....
I joined in '92, let my membership lapse in '94 due to a move (lucky for me, no single that year), rejoined in '95. I'm 117xxx now, so no complaints. However, I'd love to know what the original number was!

Mine lapsed in 03. I've sent a couple of emails to Ten C questioning if there would be any possible way to get my old number back and I've never received a response. I think we are just screwed.

After mine lapsed for 2 years i asked if i could have my old 2001 number, this was probably 2 or 3 years ago...they did respond to my email, but my wish was not granted....goodbye 223xxx hello 426xxx

10Club does not reuse numbers. Those that let theirs lapse, those numbers are gone forever. So if you've got 144xxx you can be certain that there are NOT 143999 people ahead of you for good seats. I have no idea how many have numbers lower than yours but I would venture a wild ass guess it's less than 20% of that. JMHO.

    Cheers,
    KJ

Critical thinking is fun. Good explanation.

Sure sounds like you lapsed. Why on Earth would 10C randomly add a 1 to the front of someone's number?

This is my favorite: "I've tried numerous times and it's gotten to the point that I don't even get a reply back anymore."

Perhaps it's time to get over it and leave 10C alone?

How are you so sure you didn't lapse?

I never forget. My renew date has always april and have never missed and have every xmas record. Listen, I've given them every address, and every email I've had since I was 18 it hasn't helped. If someone has a better idea on what to do I'm all ears. I've done everything except talk to Tim directly about it, but I doubt he would talk to me about it. It's definitely not something I would bother him with for quite a while since they are busy as hell with all of whats coming up.

The problem is They never gave out numbers until what 97 or 98 and its not a deal like some others that recovered their old ones. I always thought "hey it must be right" until these forums took off and now we know what years generated what numbers.

Honestly, why would I lie about it? And why if I was lying would I actually try and resolve it through the fan club. They've never said "you are full of $%^& and are lying" they just tell me "it is what it is and that's that"

I would even let them raffle off my number and my wife's number(179xxx) for charity if they helped me. I'm sure we could raise quite a bundle for 2 numbers that low.

The only thing left for you to do is talk to Tim directly. I feel this could be a good subject for your first call to the All Encompassing Trip show ;)

Thanks for the tip! I just looked & found some old newsletters, calender, & order forms.

I believe I joined in 1997 or 1998. My old number was 166xxx. I finally rejoined in 2009 after moving, marriage, and kids (you know, the same stuff a ton of other people here have done) and have # 443xxx. I guess the number to me isn't that big of deal to me. Yes, it would be cool to have the old lower number, but at least the 10C seats are better than the general public seats, there is still a chance of "hitting the lottery", and I'm helping support a great band plus all of the other perks & merch.

I may have lost my old number but I found an order form from that original membership from when I purchased my 1996 Ireland poster . Yeah me :-D . I have the poster hanging up but seeing the packing slip immediatly took me back to the day I got it in the mail and I remember how excited I was. I appologize if that came across the wrong way, I wasn't trying to gloat.

I hope my time frame and old number helps some of you guys trying to figure out yours.
