Water on the Road Blu Ray Best Buy Exclusive

Just checked Best Buys website and it says that the Eddie Vedder Bluray is an early release exclusive at BB available 5/31, same day as the DVD and Ukulele Songs. Rest of the world release is 6/28.

    I saw that and had to order it through BB it was only $16.99 & free shipping too.

    I don't think so. I just cancelled my Amazon pre-order for this and Uke songs and pre-ordered both on Best buy. I will get the bluray a month early and I actually am saving a couple bucks with Best Buy.

    i haven't bought a bluray in over a year, but this disc is gonna break that streak, no matter where i buy it!

    Why preorder from best buy, why not just go to store on release day and pick it up? It's not going to ship until release day...

    Tell me about it. For example. It's "exclusive" to Best Buy stores but not to Best Buy stores here in Canada. And their website, www.bestbuy.com, don't ship outside of the USA. I don't understand. We get alot of exclusive Best Buy releases here up North. Not sure why these Pearl Jam releases (like the Vs/Vitalogy CD + T-Shirt box set's) are exclusive to the USA stores but not as well for Canada.

    Same here. I'll probably give in & ask a friend in the USA to buy me a copy from their store/website (Best Buy) & ship it up here.

    Well, the website says "while supplies last" and I thought about how hard it is to get tickets to PJ and EV in this part of the country. I could imagine the Bluray flying off the shelves the first day. Didn't want to get out of work and find out they are all out. I did that with the Beatles box sets in 09, figured I would swing by and get it on the way home and basically got laughed at in every store because they were gone minutes after the store opened. Had to order it from Amazon and wait a month to get it.

    It's kind of lame they couldn't reach an agreement where Ten Club didn't artificially delay the release too, but I suppose BB aren't stupid and know that we're the ones who are going to make the exclusivity worth while. I'd like to be upset from some fan club first principles standpoint but considering how much we have got this year AND the re-release of the WMA shirt I don't mind waiting a little bit.

    Well it is free shipping from Best Buy but I had to pay something like $1.67 in sales tax because we have Best Buys in MA. I got the CD and the Bluray from them.

    Oh ok. I already pre-ordered the CD from 10C, so I'll cancel my Amazon order and get it from BB, even though we have it here also.

    I was going to preorder through the 10C...glad I didn't! I'm going to get the bluray and the cd on tuesday at best buy and save a few...maybe I'll order the book too...want to see some pics of it first.

    I saw this in todays BB sale flyer. Even the CD is available for $9.99. I was going to hold off on the DVD, but now I may have to hit Best Buys and pick it up.

    My Amazon blu-ray shipped , i've just received e-mail confirmation today. I have no idea why 10C is a different release date,unless it maybe has different packaging?

    Is that Amazon Canada? USA Amazon still has a late June release date.

    I just went to the Best Buy website and clicked on "Weekly Ad" and then on page 27 (like 2nd from last page) and you see the AD for Water On The Road. The image they show has a "Best Buy Exclusive" sticker on it but from what I can read it only says "Featuring Live Performances From The 2008 Solo Tour" I don't think this is referring to any kind of download. I think it's just referring to the exclusive release and that the performance is from the 2008 tour. I could be wrong but I don't see anything else indicating exclusive downloads.
