Anyone planning on staying at The Grand Geneva Resort. My wife is not nearly looking forward to PJ20 the way I am so I have to have us stay at a place she'll appreciate. In any case if anyone else is planning on staying there, we could possibly look at sharing transportation back and forth from Alpine. All the reviews for this place are off the chart. A nice hotel and a spa package for the wife could be a small price to pay for the best 2 Pearl Jam days ever.

  • I have 2 rooms reserved. May need to grab a third. We could be a group of 6 guys. PM me and let's take a look at some options.

Got a room at the Holiday Inn across the street. Driving by myself, and might be interested in a shuttle or shared ride to Alpine if you guys are looking to get one.

If you are going to drop $300 a night this is the place to stay. This will make your lady friends much happier. If we have a nice little group staying here, I'm sure the hotel concierge can arrange transportation for us. Hopefully we can keep this post alive and get some interest. Check out reviews at trip advisor.com. Cheers.

Me and the wife are staying there. We would totally be down with setting up a carpool situation

GG is very nice, has a great waterpark area as well if anyone happens to be bringing their kids. The golf course there is also top notch if you're going to be there for an extra day and don't mind hauling/renting clubs.

My wife chose this place as well this is her version of camping these days. We would definitely be down for transportation. I believe it's about 16 miles. Just can't decide if I should bring my golf clubs. 50 bucks says this is where pj will be staying as well. Summerfest few years ago stayed at the phistor hotel in miilwaukee only 5 star hotel and sure enough was sharing a breakfast buffet with mike and Jeff. I was like holy shit Jeff could you pass the oj and oh yeah play rats tonight.

Glad to hear we have a good little crowd staying at The Grand Geneva. I'm glad I'm the only one that has to keep the wife extra comfortable. Let's keep the post alive. I'm sure we can get the concierge desk to pre arrange transportation for us. See you in September.

When I booked the hotel last Saturday, the lady who took my reservation said that if they had enough guests that were attending the show they may arrange transportation for all of us.

Grand Geneva is a beautiful place. Especially the golf course. Enjoy your stay!

Thanks for that piece of information Vedderman51. Sounds like if we shoot the hotel a list of all of us needing transportation to the show, they will make it happen for us. Once we have 20+ confirmed I can call the hotel Gm and have them set it up.

Nice! I've a room here as well. I figured after driving all the way from Alabama I may as well rest me bones on some comfy sheets. May even throw the golf clubs in the car and go hook a few on the range. BTW...they have a deal going where if you pay for Fri and Sat nites then Sunday is for free. So that's about $600 total or $200/night. Pretty good deal considering the quality of the place.

Do you have a promo code for that? I do not think I got that deal. We may end up staying in Milwaukee, but waiting for everyone's flight plans to shape up...

No, I didn't have a promo code. I made reservations Monday morning shortly before the announcement was made and they told me it was a special they were running. Your best bet would probably be to call and ask if it's still available.

ok..we are in..add two more to the list of people who would like a shuttle to and from the shows..

what are the odds there is a shuttle from the airport to the resort? are you guys renting a car or taking cab?

I booked the Saturday before the announcement by phone and got the same deal. I checked their website Monday evening and they excluded Labor Day weekend from the promotion. But it wouldnt hurt calling in and seeing if you can get the deal, they were really helpful when I dealt with them

Looks like rates are now closer to $350 a night and no longer offering the Free Sunday. In any case if you are staying here or planning on staying here, then post to indicate you would be interested in shared transportation to and from Alpine Valley.

I'm at Grand Geneva too. Actually Timber Ridge, which is the "family" part of Grand Geneva. They've got an indoor waterpark for the kids! The resort looks great. I'm interested in transportation too, but honestly don't want to head over way early to see ALL the other bands (because the resort looks that good) Since only 15 miles away, I'd love a 5pm / 5:30pm departure.

  • FYI...

There is a van shuttle service. I've talked to the hotel manager. It's $40 round trip each day. I'm not sure if that's per person... i'm asking about that now, but I would assume that it is $40 per person.

ScReaMing LunGs, if you call the hotel manager again, tell him that we already have about 20 people staying at the resort that would like transportation to and from. If you get into details, ask if they can arrange for at least 2 different departure times to go to Alpine Valley. Feedback is that some people will want to go early to see all bands and some that are mostly interested in Pearl Jam and will want to go more around 5:00pm. If you get a contact name and number, I could also give him a call. Cheers.
  • My first post.... The wife and I are in and would defintely be interested in a shuttle.

Just a fyi for those staying here. Hugh Hefner built this place. It is a former Playboy Club. Pretty sure it is a 5 star resort. The place is phenominal! Typically the bands that play Alpine stay here so ya you could be dining with some band members.
