it has nothing to do with 10c...they were just passing along the info to people that might have bought "fancy" tickets.

just sent out an e mail to the CEO of LiveNation:

    Dear Mr. Sarpino,

I was very excited to purchase three VIP Season Ticket packages to Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary festival in East Troy, WI 9/3 and 9/4. I was willing to spend the $2700 for the best seats in the house and VIP amenities included. This is my favorite band and wanted to do it right for PJ 20. I spoke with a great representative who said my contract would be sent out Monday and my seats were secured. This is all in writing that I have saved if you would like me to forward this to you or a colleague. However, on the Pearl Jam Message Pit this was released today:

In regards to postings about buying season ticket packages in order to secure incredible seats for PJ20, there has been a mix-up in the Live Nation ticket office. Those who purchased these packages and offered box seats as close as the 6th row, WILL NOT BE receiving those promised seat locations. All NEW season ticket package purchasers will be re-located BEHIND the Ten Club seats.

Please keep in mind that Alpine Valley does have a number of existing season ticket holders who have priority options to purchase those tickets. The Ten Club respectfully acknowledges these pre-existing ticket holders and their right to purchase their tickets. Some of these tickets may be located in front of Ten Club allocated tickets.

Live Nation and their ticket office have been very helpful in securing as many tickets as possible for The Ten Club. Their representatives feel horrible about this miscommunication and they apologize for any misunderstanding.

    Thanks, Tim

You can imagine my disappointment when seeing this. Why were The 10 Club and LiveNation not on the same page? If these are in fact fanclub seats why wasI able to 'secure' them? I hope this can be resolved less I go to the Chicago Tribune and explain this story. Thank you for your time.

Not a threat, just letting the promoter know something has to be done and promptly (and they have the power to do so, no issues there) or he will have to make things happen his own way. Going to a newspaper or CC a lawyer gets people's attention!

yeah, this is the attitude that causes you to incur so much wrath and so little sympathy. I was gonna offer to write an angry letter or make some angry phone calls for you (just because I'm a lawyer in Illinois and sometimes they respond better to lawyers) but since you have "unlimited funds," you dont need my help.

Sawyer, don't shoot the messengers. LiveNation is who your anger and frustration should be directed toward. They sold tickets they didn't have, and then had the 10C let people know that they were screwed by LN. It was basically VIP live nation sales people trying to rip people off, hoping that nothing would be said and by the time you found out they would have their money. You should probably thank Tim for telling you what was up before you showed up at the gate.

Either way though, your in, and none of us are so be happy, its just money. If you have the resources to spend that kind of money on 2 shows I'm sure you'll make it back 8-)

Best of luck, and dont forget "You gotta spend it all" :D

Sawyer, this may be karma for all your repetitive "Where's the PJ20 announcement?"posts that you made almost every day leading up to the actual announcement. Then again I don't believe in karma so maybe it's not.
