Of course we don't know all the details, but it sounds like the details slipped by Livenation and not the 10club. The way it reads to me, Livenation didn't know that those seat locations weren't available to them.

inexcusable...there needs to be perfect communication with the two with an event like this....unreal

In regards to postings about buying season ticket packages in order to secure incredible seats for PJ20, there has been a mix-up in the Live Nation ticket office. Those who purchased these packages and offered box seats as close as the 6th row, WILL NOT BE receiving those promised seat locations. All NEW season ticket package purchasers will be re-located BEHIND the Ten Club seats.

Please keep in mind that Alpine Valley does have a number of existing season ticket holders who have priority options to purchase those tickets. The Ten Club respectfully acknowledges these pre-existing ticket holders and their right to purchase their tickets. Some of these tickets may be located in front of Ten Club allocated tickets.

Live Nation and their ticket office have been very helpful in securing as many tickets as possible for The Ten Club. Their representatives feel horrible about this miscommunication and they apologize for any misunderstanding.

    Thanks, Tim

sooooo.......how did this get by you guys where Live Nation reps were selling these seats fellas? Your last paragraph clearly indicates that 10 Club had these seats. Why are other vendors then selling them?

First... what is 'new' season ticket holder? From what date? Sawyer, do you have a confirmation of purchase with seat number? Is the 'deal not done' with your purchase? I would have thought you purchased specific goods (specific seats), paid and your payment was accepted for the goods. I don't see how they can retract.

Are people really defending the 10 Club on this? I know it is fun to bask in other's misery, especially when many were jealous, but doesn't an epic fail of this caliber make anyone else a little nervous about our band's management?

Are they at least refunding you? I can't imagine you'd wanna spend that kinda dough for back of pavilion/lawn, right?

Dude, you have your tickets. Ever hear the phrase too good to be true?

Or are you just embarrassed that you came on here to brag about it?

I'm certainly jealous. I'm guessing you passed on your glass of Kool-Aid.

    Bravo 10C!

nothing against Sawyer or anyone who else bought these tickets, but it just shows again that 10C is always fighting the enemy on our behalf when it comes to tickets.

and I say "enemy" regarding TM/LN because this is clearly the trend when it comes to tickets. "premium" tickets up front will only be available to those who can pay 5-10 times the normal ticket price. meanwhile, 10C continues to secure the best tickets for it's members whenever it can.

    so appreciative.

and Tim's post is just passing the buck to LiveNation....I met Tim...great guy, but this is a HUGE misstep by both parties. Well I have all the e mails from this poor sales rep. I am now sending them to the CEO of LiveNation and the Better Business Bureau. This is not something you sweep under the rug.

How is it 10C's fault? You bought the tickets from Live Nation, not 10C.

it's far from inexcusable. your beef is with Alpine, not 10C. other than the thread that you started, you are in the same position that you were in before "buying" the VIP tickets. that is all that matters. as long as you got in writing that you were getting 6th row tickets and you get fully refunded, you really have no additional recourse.

I think that things like this happen because the LN rep probably just assumed everything was normal, not knowing that the TC was getting the better allotment of tix than a normal on-sale. So while I'm not saying the TC is 100% perfect on this, it sounds like they arranged for something and then found out on here that LN broke that agreement and took care of it.

What I would really love to know is if the TC didnt find out about that on here, would they never have known or would they have figured it out once tickets were given to them to distribute and then really put you in a bind a month or two down the road...
